This is also why I never struggle with sayings or idioms. Cause those meanings are already set.

This leads to me taking something said at face value, cause what else is there to do? And then it seems like I'm obtuse, but really I just don't wanna jump to conclusions.

Something I've noticed with my autism and failing to read what people imply is not that I can't, but that my brain refuses to jump to conclusions. I always have a probable interpretation of implications and they're usually correct, but I refuse to assume the meaning.
