"We haven’t really had a lot of that, or just offence going in general. So just to see it and to fully believe it. Now we know we can do it.”
On the balance of the #BlueJays lineup, which returned with a cathartic win on Sunday:

The #BlueJays have more hits with the bases loaded in today's first inning (2) than they had in their previous 20 games (1). They were 1/20 in those spots entering today.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. caught his index finger on a DBacks jersey in the 8th.
“I think he’ll be fine tomorrow” Schneider said.
#BlueJays seem to have avoided the worst news tonight
Varsho is day to day, Schneider said.
It’s discomfort in his “quad down to his knee” that he notified the #BlueJays just ahead of the game. Doesn’t sound like he’s going for an MRI
Somehow, another injury.

Schneider, on the #BlueJays jawing with Megill in the 8th:
“As a person, you don't appreciate when another grown man yells what he did in your face. So you just kind of react in the moment. But we got other stuff to worry about other than that, he’s got other stuff to worry about.”
From today's #BlueJays game, John Schneider, on Toronto's offence:
“We need to hit. We need to hit some extra base hits. We need to slug, certain guys.”
“We got to get back to everybody doing their part.”
Also, this was Berríos’ MiLB headshot used tonight, back from 2017 in the Twins system.
Tonight was his first rehab assignment ever, so he hasn’t been in a minor-league game in a decade, and never with the #BlueJays. Just a reminder how insanely durable this guy has been
José Berríos’ Dunedin rehab outing is over at 47 pitches.
The stat line wasn’t beautiful (2.2IP 5ER 5H 3K 1BB 1HR), but he averaged 93.5 mph with his sinker and 94.2 with his 4-seam (touching 95),which seems quite encouraging. #BlueJays
#BlueJays 3B prospect Juan Sanchez is indeed heading up to Dunedin, as Keegan Matheson reports.
With JoJo Parker, Blaine Bullard and now Sanchez, the DJays are probably the must-watch lineup for #BlueJays prospect fans these days. Formidable trio

Max Scherzer, on his forearm:
“Felt like the ball was coming out my hand better today. Was able to throw all the pitches. As I got out of the outing, haven't felt it completely tighten up. That’s a good sign. I won't fully know how everything responded until tomorrow”
