You want the ability to add stock images (like from unsplash) easily within the editor as you’re writing.

This is on the roadmap, been in the backlog for a bit actually. We will definitely add this soon!

But yes, that is planned but not next on the roadmap. Standard.site is implementing some contribution lexicons soon, but we still need to think through its implementation and compatibility since Offprints plans were a little more complex.

We’re aware of this. Planning to rework the editor ui soon, it’ll be more mobile friendly and move some things around to accomplish that. Sorry for this, but hopefully we’ll make it up to you when that comes out!

Standard Site Working Group Meeting Notes 3/29/26

On March 29th, we held an in-person meeting to check in with the community and discuss potential updates to the standard.site spec.

We also added a toggle to disable the welcome screen when someone visits your publications homepage. Slowly adding customization options as we go!

Welcome overlay Automatically show a subscribe prompt to new visitors (disabled)

I added a toggle to disable auto-displaying the welcome overlay. It is still possible to see it manually when clicking the "Subscribe" button in the header.
