I’ve always disliked the phrase “have a good day” or worse “have a good one”. They are such meaningless comments. I’ve changed my thanks to anyone providing service to “I hope your day is filled with happy customers”. It’s amazing even the grumpiest clerk returns a big smile. And I mean it!

Still a great Canadian piece. This interview is heartwarming and inspiring as we face real existential threats.

This is the start of the “brown shirts”. Predictable in the fascist playbook.

In all my reading of history I can’t find an example of a democracy dieing in a month. American institutions are all compromised by MAGA leadership. An oligarch has taken the most valuable data on millions of Americans. Threats to take over sovereign territories. And protections nowhere.

I’m now sure the overall strategy of Trump and his minions - Lebensraum.

Doug Ford is the Neville Chamberlain of Canada. Every political leader in Canada needs to relearn that bit of history from 1938. The worst is to come.
