Once again this is why a world that just rejects data for not feeling true is a world where leftism is dead. Crime is extremely low! But so many people are like "we have so much crime!" And then go right wing over it. Remember this when you're Discoursing.

"Up the Long Ladder" (still "Clones" at this point) initially had an antimatter refuelling stop for the Enterprise

Here Sternbach has designed an Antimatter Accelerator Station and refuelling tankers to attach to the Enterprise.

(A part of me was being extra-cautious about taking money. I could've asked the judge, but that puts *everyone* in an awkward situation.

But mostly, I was just happy to do it!)

Oh, this happened to me! Some guy offered me money outside the courthouse! He was one of the witnesses, and the second witness had car trouble.

I told him not to worry about the money. I witnessed, signed, and still caught the bus I was headed for. Really great experience!

In a scene from the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Live Fast and Prosper" we see a trio of imposters approaching a miner on Telsius Prime. From right to left, there is an alien named Mobar impersonating Tuvok, an alien named Dala impersonating Captain Janeway, and an alien named Daniel Radcliffe impersonating "Weird Al" Yankovic (with his Hawaiian shirt wide open exposing his hairy chest and a necklace with five platinum records on it).

A scene from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "A Matter of Honor" shows Will Riker sitting in Ten Forward at a table that is crammed full of various Klingon foods and delicacies. He's got his mouth open wide as he brings his fork up for another bite. Dr. Pulaski sits beside him, watching in disgust. Just behind and to the left of her stands "Weird Al" Yankovic, looking at the scene encouragingly as he wears his red Michael Jackson jacket.

Two of my Space Bar posters appeared in S2, ep7 of ST: Picard! They’re in an LA bar when the crew goes back in time to the early 21st Century. So I, the artist Tyler Nordgren, exist as a person in the Star Trek universe according to canon. #art #startrek #sciart www.tylernordgren.com/space-bar-po...

It looks to me like the trays have been completely replaced, although the pole is the same. Take a look at
- the shape of the tray
- the corners
- how the metal the pole screws onto fastens to the tray

The person on Keiko's left might have one of the S3 trays though, with the emblem removed.

Another money-saving option is that the Sickbay set could've kept doubling as the Observation Lounge.

A Strange Phrase Keeps Turning Up in Scientific Papers, But Why? Earlier this year, scientists discovered a peculiar term appearing in published papers: "vegetative electron microscopy".

This is equivalent to when people notice a problem in these AI systems and then others check and claim it's fake. You just cannot know because the web is continually being scraped by these systems. It's "please, just one more if-statement, bro" and shifting sands. Any nonsense can be patched in.

"smarter" is a supremacist game and I choose to no longer play it.

Binet invented intellligence tests to pinpoint cognitive deficits in the hopes of remediating them, not whatever the fuck all this is.

most people have the raw cognitive material they need to live good lives together.

Hmmm, I wonder if they were influenced by ranks in the original Battlestar Galactica. These ones all match up, although above Major it's different.

It *is* possible that some users abandoned Y2K non-compliant software, and switched to a competitor that's facing the same issue in 2038.

Or more likely, they've switched software for other reasons over almost 40 years. The new software could have problems in 2038.

To clarify for others:
Software engineers in the 90's wouldn't have used a solution that pushed the problem to 2038. That would have been *harder* than fixing the problem until 9999 (or in some cases, 2999).

I figured it was either that, or it got edited down from "are illuminated." Easy for one thing to slip by!

One thing I'm seeing proposed more and more as a prophylaxis against another Trump is to ban felons from holding public office.

And this might be an unpopular opinion, but I *hate* that plan.

Here's why.
