I'm still hoping to get to that bar in the Blues Brothers movie, where they have both types of music: country AND western.

Which also means we don’t count the emissions from 83% of the gas we produce. That’s our contribution to climate change action 🙈.

In the 70's the Government owned Energy, it built houses, it owned Public Services and it employed people.

Now billionaires own it all, and they pay you too.

So every year prices go up more than wages.

It's not complicated why things are only getting worse.

It's billionaires

Oh god, Phil Anschutz? I live in Colorado Springs. He’s the local supervillain who owns the Broadmoor Hotel, Seven Falls and the local rag, The Gazette, where he platforms his conservative nonsense. I didn’t make the connection with AEG.

In Iran, the regime has indeed changed: It’s less restrained, more hard-line After the U.S.-Israeli war’s “decapitation” strikes against top Islamic Republic political and military leaders, who is this new generation that has taken the reins in Iran? They are more hard-line th...

Well done, Netanyahu.

“…analysts say the decapitation campaign has, instead, enabled the rise of the most hard-line elements of the IRGC, which now feel freshly emboldened and less willing to compromise to end the war.”

Of course, Pope Leo was never interested in debating Donald Trump.

The Pope is so far above him that they’re not even speaking the same language. One is dealing in faith and humanity, the other in noise and cruelty.

Oh gawd I hope not. Remember when Foster was a business advisor to Cherie Blair and co-owned real estate with her or something, if I recall?
I just applaud Indigenous folk finding export markets for sustainable bush foods and wish them luck!

Yay! The only glass I recycle is tomato sauce bottles (one a year?) and an occasional jam jar. Ginger beer stubbies or other drink bottles get me a 10c refund. So I wouldn't fill a purple bin if I tried for the rest of my life. Vegemite & peanut butter even come in plastic now.

i think folks might be unfamiliar with "the pharisees", so let's make it clear: he's saying the jews run the press, and that they are conspiring to undermine the military. it's not just antisemitism, it's indistinguishable from nazism.

We heard they are cutting the snow gums on Mt Macedon & anyone going onto the site will be arrested. Was feeling forlorn. Got a fire call up in the pine plantation. Working with good folks & being focused on driving the tanker on dirt tracks weirdly helped with my mood. Back to the mountain tomorrow

Anthropic's constraint isn't ethics. It's liability. Autonomous kill decisions mean trillion-dollar lawsuits when AI errs. Governments push because they want deniability. Companies build moats by refusing.

... and send it off to find a certain person using its AI brain and "detain" them, but oh woops, it made a mistake and shot them. The we start comparing the kill rates for human ICE agents and robot ICE agents and decide robots are safer anyway ... #madness

Oh, that makes sense. Thanks.
Still, I'm with Anthropic on this one (if nothing else).
It's terrifying that only the will of a company stands between people and robot soldiers.
