I feel like whatever pretty-privilege I had, I have aged out of now, being officially in my mid-40s. I don't want to be ashamed of aging. I want to be ok with myself aging.

I updated my LinkedIn photo yesterday. I have always thought people's professional photos being 10-20 years younger than they are now to be ... odd. I do not look like I did 10 or 20 years ago. I think it should be OK for my professional image to be accurate, age-wise. Especially as a woman in tech.

It’s a workday for those of us who don’t live in Massachusetts so we expected the trip to the Garden to be more annoying. Anyway. Tonight’s fun thing: Florence & The Machine!

It is practically unpatriotic to refuse a tetanus vaccine.

We invented it because people kept injuring themselves with fireworks. It is also how we survived the trench warfare in WWI.

A tray full of colorful tick removers, an oval plastic shape with a slit in it designed to pry off a tick. In the tray are keychain clips and jump rings and next to the tray is a pile of completed keychains.

Six colorful tick removers. Each plastic oval has a slit in it to be used to remove a tick. Each oval also has the crude image of tick with a cross through it. They are in the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

Spending my Sunday morning making tick remover keychains to sell at the mutual aid market next weekend. All my hiking buddies this summer will also be receiving one of these as a gift!

With that blue sky, I love the colors in this!

Seeing Taemin's performance made me remember this conversation I once had. He hits all the beats, but seems to have more time to do so than anyone else. So he hits the beats with a flourish there, an artistic touch here as if he had time to fill until the world is ready to catch up with him.

He was my favorite composer when I was in high school. I spent a week in France with a host family, and my host sister picked me because she *also* loved Tchaikovsky. I love his emotionally messy 4th symphony.
