Could the age of easy and affordable international travel be coming to a close?

What some European economists warned me of a few years back. We’ve already seen airlines and hotels shifting to the higher end traveler.

Jenny in the City

Great shop in Cathedral Hill.

Mpls-St.Paul merch and stickers
Great cards
Fun clothing (+ plus sizes!)

I’ve seen increased interest in city merch from visitors and VIPs. It’s been great to have a place to take them.

This is why I haven’t bought!

A bitch should be able to buy a decent place for under 300k and that’s tough these days.

Yeah. For example… I like some of the units at 300 Wall. Parking headaches though…

Entry level units(so below 400k in modern times), have HOA’s that exceed $1000! I think I saw almost $1369 for a 360k unit recently.

But my expectation of you are that you know everything. Please don’t miss on expectations again. 😉

There are condo buildings downtown stp where HOA’s are $1000+

I know because these HOA’s have eliminated these buildings from my buying consideration.

You are usually a in the know guy? HOA’s have been $700-$1000 for some time on entry priced condos.

I did not put the O’Hara tea on Twitter. But I did do a wee TikTok.

My audience is small over there, and as long as something doesn’t go viral, it can reach just the interested folks in our community. The MAGA’s from Wright County don’t deserve any tea😉

Well… it seems they anticipate many small businesses will be wiped out.

Something Haunting

Fintech company is operating at breakneck speed because they figure they only have 2-5 more years to sell their (NEW) products and cash out.

Who do they sell their (financial adjacent) products to? Small businesses.

Thanks for the business!

This works really well for important depositions as well. Driving into the city is very stressful for many folks, and you don’t want the client stressed when deposed.

Did you know that Moammar Gadhafi was obsessed/in love with Condoleezza Rice? Somehow I missed that back when.

Client who formally worked at(redacted) shared some additional unreported details on what they found in his home related to this obsession.

Nobody Knows How to File Taxes on Prediction Market Wins Americans flocked to prediction markets last year. Now, it’s time to pay taxes on winnings. How do you do that? Great question.

Yes but he isn’t doing anymore Tarzan swings

Local dad with a fear of heights, and a history of fainting, fainted on a Tarzan Swing in Costa Rica.

The people behind him in line thought he’d had a heart attack and died. His family went before him so didn’t see it.

Watch him fake his death to get out of this mess.

Europe around April 10th. And Asia April 1st. So if things have seemed relatively normal that’s why.

And in the markets? The first 10 days of crude over $100 stocks usually hold up. It’s after day 10 that things start to melt down.

Did you know that oil tankers travel at the speed of a Chey on a bicycle around the globe? Not even the speed of a Mpls Mike Norton bike dad.

So oil tankers that set out before the war are still making their way to their destinations. We will see some of the last shipments around April 15th.

I had this feeling 6-9 months before the pandemic and so did my buddy. So we were planning for a variety of things and then it ended up being a pandemic which wasn’t on our list. Lol.

The feeling is much stronger now, almost crippling at times. But nothing specific.

Right now is a tough time for all the hyper intuitive and neurodivergent people you know.

Even if nothing usually phases us too much, our intuitive and creepy premonition side knows some really fucked stuff is coming soon. So please give us some grace through this time. ❤️

Top level trolling from the Speaker of Iran's Parliament

I feel like I’m hearing about a lot of distress happening at local organizations that are owed big dollars by UCare.

Shouldn’t they have had the reserves(is there a term for this?) by law to cover their insured?

Minnesotans are so cute. I have to ask if they are flying Delta One, and then when I take them the Delta One doors? They are shocked because they don’t know it exists.

Will be fun when MSP gets a bigger and better D1 experience.

My youngest memory is dad tipping over the combine on a steep hill(age 4). I told him we were going to tip over and he didn’t listen to my little ass.

But the best part? I learned as an adult, dad never told my mom it happened! And swore the farm hands to secrecy.

Did you know that war risk insurance remained elevated for a decade in the Gulf following the 1973 oil crisis?

I know I’ve said this earlier, but it’s really insurance that has closed the Strait of Hormuz. And it will be insurance that will keep it closed or expensive to sail.
