Trying to recover from losing a sweater WIP (in event exclusive yarn!) so I’m casting on a bunch. Cue Hall & Oats:”…pretty bodies held dissolve the memories, they can never be what she was to me…”

First time in my life, my phone updated its iOS, and I’m thrilled. Loving the new iCloud setup. Obsessed. I’ll be at inbox zero soon!!! 🍏
I just don’t think they could be any cuter.

2025 Mood Blanket: January
Credit to Toni Lipsy, who inspired this project.
On the blocking board! Bayshore Bandana Cowl by Kira K Designs, in Love Fest Fibers pashmina. Hand-spun and hand-dyed. Unbelievably soft and fluffy. This sample will be at Love Fest’s SF shop for you to try on, fall in love, buy the kit, and make one for yourself! 🧶
Are we skipping over Rockwell, or is it just assumed we all knew he was Berry’s son? Bc I only learned that recently.
Explain this.
He has infinite soft upholstered surfaces to nap on, but he chooses the back of my closet, on a pile of shoes.
Aw hell.
Is it going to be an Eagles - Chiefs rematch?
Unrelated, do you think my Dr will give me something for anxiety?
Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.
Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.
Restarting my mood blanket, with more range and nuance. This is a swatch to test out a few ideas. I like where this is going, over my previous concept. Now to re-crochet the past 20 days. NBD! That’s the joy of crochet! It’s quick. 🧶

I've heard and seen a lot today about how to get through this. Here's my hot take:
1. every day is a gift.
2. joy is resistance.
3. community care is key.
We'll get through it because we have to. And because we have each other. Keep making your art and flaunting your humanity. ❤️
Chatting with a friend about how to recreate the communities we lost. I keep coming back to the fact that community organizing predates socials or computers. We don’t need the next platform. We need to relearn how movements organized in the analog age.
Did I match my new project to my new puffer vest? Obviously yes, but not consciously.
It’s called caramel! So yes. Yummy!
Until then…here we are.
Omg yes. I keep forgetting. Also I’m really self conscious about it. I know it’s important, but I feel like I’m doing it wrong, and then I “forget” which doesn’t make me get better.
Thanks! Love Fest fibers. They are known for their large-scale weaving yarn, so a lot of people don’t know they carry finer yarn too.
I’ll say it: bc this is basically twitter, and I never used or needed twitter, it’s extremely difficult to settle now.
Daily Crochet Journaling is going well, tho not without challenges. Yes, I’m having a hard time boiling each day down to one emotion. Also, since I often journal at night, the most urgent, recurring feeling is, “EXHAUSTED.” Not an emotion, but that’s how I feel.
I get very little lap time with my boys. They strongly prefer Mike. Here is a rare and precious moment with Paco.
Row of small crocheted chevrons In different colors, on a tan marled wood background. The first row is green, olive, and sky blue. Above that it changes into multi-colors.
My interpretation of Tony Lipsy’s 2025 mood wrap, nee blanket. Each night at 8:pm, an alarm goes off on my phone, and I sit down to journal and crochet about my day.
I was in bed still. It was only slightly worse than when the boys have zoomies.
While I only have a few followers here, I can share stuff I probably shouldn’t (yet.)
Here’s the Bayshore Bandana Cowl, by Kira K Designs, to be released January 30 with cowls from two other designers, in anticipation of the @baycrawl.bsky.social
Not much of a picture, but this was the very best lentil soup ever, thanks to @ranchogordo.bsky.social and having mirepoix prepped in the freezer. Sadly, all gone now.
I didn’t know about the 🧶 or really, any of this. Such useful information!
Thanks for helping us in this new space. You’ve always been a trailblazer!
Wise woman @rebeccawilova.bsky.social told me this is a good time to repost the classics. So I present to you: Francis Albert & Antonio Carlos.
I hope this transition goes smoothly for you!
Blocking the first of three “BAYCrawl Cowls” - this one is designed by KiraK, with yarn by SuperGlo.
