Jax is being embraced by Pomni. He is upset and trying to push her away even in his thoughts cause he doesn't want to hurt her or drag him down with him and he's scared for her and himself that even in this moment of near abstraction... she won't leave him. She continues to reach out to him even if it hurts. His thoughts read, " STOP. Call me an a*s. Give up on me. PLEASE." They're both crying but she doesn't give up and he doesn't know whether to keep pushing or to give in.
