I’ve always wanted to hold a small pinball tournament where the only rule was that you’re not allowed to move Meatloaf.

Mr. Sleepy Man (PC)
YEAH, SO THIS GAME OWNS. At its first layer, it's a wacky off-kilter sandbox platformer, but it totally won me over with its second layer. No spoilers here, but THIS IS ONE TO PLAY. I did NOT expect the vibes I was hit with. Absolutely fuckin BLINDSIDED several times.
BoF2 cont.
This game was a very solid step up from the first, and REALLY stuck the landing, but even then, the best is to come! I've been excited to play the last 3 games in the series for a LONG while. I'm not planning on hopping in right away, but I'm sure I'll get the urge sooner or later! (2/2)
Breath of Fire II (SNES)
After starting the game in my childhood on Wii VC and getting basically nowhere, I've finally completed BoF2 via the SNES retranslation patch! Some real cool stuff happened over the course of this game, and it felt overall way more better paced than the first. (1/2)
your brain is fucking enormous
BAFTA pulling a trailer for an autobiographical game about surviving sexual assault only hours before it was said to be a part of a showcase is an exceptionally bad look.
I decided to re-register an account to enjoy the memes of our 1990s #MoonChild game. 😁👍
I designed Hoi and Moon Child. Reinier van Vliet coded it, and Ramon Braumuller made the soundtrack.

A shot of this very familiar looking area in Doha Airport called The Orchard, taken from near the escalator on the upper floor, showing a the tops of trees and some of the domed ceiling overhead
A nice pathway through The Orchard, with trees and ferns and other plants on all sides
A shot showing a sort of tornado-like conical structure descending from the ceiling—rather part of the ceiling, I think—and not reminiscent of the game at all, but beautiful and worth showing
An upward show of that ceiling dome, something you could probably find a way on top of and get into all sorts of trouble near the final act

toilet a at 1:30's fundamentals were a mess and it got exposed. not sure why anyone's surprised. you can't have footwork like that and expect to win in this league
The finale POST dogshit villain ended pretty strong, I think. It's mostly intermission and Act 3 that went out of control.
legitimately, never in my life have I ever been so exhausted by the sheer number of boss battles in a game. I didn't even know this was a problem that was possible.
there are so MANY
trails through day break two (hundred thousand boss battles please put less)
action/platformer speedruns: yea we have to do 100 frame perfect tricks to clip through all these sections and it's all skill based and precise practice and speed
old jrpg speedruns: WE HAVE TO TORTURE THE GAME BY RIPPING ITS SOUL OUT AND REPLACING IT WITH DR MARIO TO FORCE IT TO DO OUR BIDDING

Good, pretty little folklore Metroidvania! Didn't wow me enormously; it felt kinda linear and I never really felt there was any backtracking for me to do. I was basically able to clear out every area as I got there. Solid, enjoyable, and satisfying to play, though!
So Erin Reed blocked me over this one but I’m going to take a few minutes to point out why this “reporting” is so bad and repost a few times to hopefully spread the word. TL;DR Erin either doesn’t understand anything about NYC law or politics or is outright lying about what’s happening here.
Nioh replay (PS4)
A very good question! Why WOULD I choose to replay Nioh 1 when the sequel is right there and basically a replacement for the first? Well, I just wanted to spend some quality time with my tonfas again, and I had never actually done the 2nd & 3rd DLCs! GOOD GAME! Nioh 2 superior.
Yeaaaaah, something like ISO 45001 is generally more effective for ACTUAL risk reduction, but even that is a voluntary standard. If leadership is already determined to not REALLY give a shit, they're not going to bother with it to get the program rolling in the first place.
If he didn't want a pop, why did he say it like he was looking for a pop???????
"Shaking my head" is how I internalized it 100% of the time
There's a specific tone of cheer when a guy and his bros realize a complicated low-stakes scheme is going to work. It's the sound of dudes rocking and it's the most beautiful sound in the world.
Personally, I'm kinda hoping for a journalist, think that would be cool
Beloved Rapture is a pretty damn solid RPG Maker 2003 game.
god finding this is like stumbling across a buried USB drive in the woods. bizarre
MiO Memories in Orbit (PC)
This one took a little bit to win me over, but as soon as I started getting some of the mobility upgrades this game had to offer, the vision came through REAL strong. Not quite up there with my all-timers in the genre, but this is a VERY good and VERY pretty metroidvania.
UNBEATABLE (bonus)
Okay look, I gotta just say the game is only getting better as it marinates in my brain. Play UNBEATABLE.

BLINDSIDED WITH PRODUCTION VALUE GODDAMN. I'm so used to games exploding with style like this falling short and turning out less than the sum of its parts, but D-Cell absolutely STUCK the landing. That final chapter is not leaving my mind anytime soon. Sooo much love put into this.
