Since before international climate negotiations begun we have had a joint bipartisan effort from the major parties to expand coal & gas.

Expanding renewables and expanding fossil fuels is not a transition, it’s just reckless greed.

Still cannot believe someone thought it was a good idea to post this at the same time as approving FOUR coal projects.

How to botch approving coal mines quietly, an Australian playbook:

1️⃣ tweet that you’ve approved 0 new coal mines

2️⃣ simultaneously approve 3 coal mines

3️⃣ update press that you actually approved a 4th

Do it just before Christmas in the hope people don’t notice 🎁
