I think we have better and stronger control options now, though, so shifting this towards consistently killing commanders and keeping people from being able to afford the tax could make more sense than my old version. (for example, we didn't have as many reanimation or edict effects back then)

When I was messing with it (maybe 4 years ago?) I couldn't get it to work as a lock-out deck. Most of the time it just handed the game to the green player or the player that could consistently draw new lands, since I couldn't heavily impact lands til people had already had a chance to start ramping.
everyone it is now JANUARY 1ST and in pdh world that means its time to break the rules for an entire month until February rears its ugly head. this time? were wanting yall to play with lessons and learnboards. check out the press release here and go run wild and free

Sorry had the Canlander and PDH Facebook numbers mixed up. Canlander is a little larger on Facebook. 2.3k members vs PDH's 1.9k. I went and looked at the online communities just now and compiled these totals, though, to update my own perception of format size.
I think the clear forerunners are:
- Dandan for a boardgame-style format
- Canlander for 1v1
- Pauper Commander for 4-player
PDH has the largest presence on reddit and facebook. Canlander is biggest on discord and has the longest history. Dandan variants are frequently brought to cons and LGSs.
For UB, Inkfathom Witch can do unique things with unblockable 1/1s and creatures that tap to deal 1 damage to any target (because you can turn your opponents' attackers into 4/1s). Alternatively, Taigam is a good way to mix control and self mill (and wrap in a reanimator package for your win con).
Glad to see TNT is back up and running with their PDH deck techs!
Alternatively, here's a more controlling version, for people that don't need friends. Could use some updating, but the old list is still plenty effective

No worries, I still enjoyed the name and concept XD
What's the rule zero aspect? Do you play it into PDH tables or EDH tables?
Yeah, I think Sniffhow is one of the very few actually playing casual Malcolm/Breeches anymore XD
Curious if pauper commander players still play Malcolm/Breeches casually or not. Used to be a lot of people playing combat and theft themes, but I mostly hear about combo or storm builds these days. Made a poll and would love to hear about how your Malcolm/Breeches PDH decks win!
The Spider-Man set was... a set π¬ but it gave us a sweet PDH commander in Green Goblin, Revenant!
The plan: use Blood Tokens & Madness for value, then attack with the Goblin to draw a massive new hand. Full breakdown in the video! π

PAUPER cEDH!? Such a sick format. Weβre joined by Clay from cPDH.guide and the PRH RC for this one!
It's here! The newest MtG set is causing quite a controversy and more than half the community is divided on if anyone likes or even wants it. But ignore all that because we're just here to talk about how it affects Pauper commander. Let us know your thoughts!

Alejandro recreates his first deck in Pauper form, by replacing an Insectoid Death Cultist with a very cute, but hungry, Ravenous Squirrel. #EDH #Commander #pEDH #Pauper

ok pdh heads to answer your BURNING QUESTION: yes we are going to be porting this rules changes to pdh. uncommon vehicles are going to be legal commanders with the release of edge of eternities
therell be a more official looking announcement to come but just want to get ahead of the speculation
Yeah, Mirrodin, Affinity, and Broodstar were what got me into Magic!
Oh yeah, Pauper Commander opens up a whole different card pool, with all kinds of weird stuff. Hence Ethersworn Sphinx being one of my favorites. That's not a design you'd see for a legendary.
The rubber bands are all ones I am willing to give away, and many of them were built out of my bulk. The sleeves would be nearly as expensive as some of the decks π€·ββοΈ
Top 5 is hard, since I bounce around like crazy.
Best known for:
Vizkopa Guildmage
Ethersworn Sphinx
Savage Ventmaw
Other commanders I advocate for:
Maverick Thopterist
Wingmantle Chaplain
Winding Constrictor
Pet decks:
Drumhunter
Feywild Caretaker
Satyr Enchanter
Mad Ratter
Gorex
PALS ARE CREATORS UP IN VEGAS! We're still Tarkir Ambassadors so come find us tomorrow and play with some Pauper Commander Dragonstorm decks!
Finally got all 38 of my Pauper EDH decks organized and packed for Vegas!
Yall don't think I went overboard, do you?
Anyway, come find me at the PDH banner in the command zone or free play areas, and jam some games! Got plenty to loan out, too!
Agreed. I've been staring at Akiri for a while, thinking she could make a great competitive midrange deck. Meanwhile, there's at least tens of different equipment decks that all feel very different to play in mid-power. Some aggro powerhouses, some packing recursion engines, etc
And I'm back with my first live stream in a while, had a blast with everyone talking about the newest set for #cPDH and #pdh #finalfantasymtg - thanks for your patience everyone <3

Episode 155 is live! Can you believe we've been talking about PDH for 3 years already??
Well, this episode is certainly NOT about PDH. :)
