I just got my Sony Walkman HD5 (ca. 2005) up and running again and i am inordinately pleased about this

I vastly prefer pretty color rocks over boring ol' diamonds ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ahhh, why did my fingers have to get fat with the rest of me. But my wallet appreciates that it won't fit, i guess.

That's so cool!

That green looks closer to my chrome diopside and tourmalines than any emerald I've ever seen, so if it is emerald, that would be fascinating!

I love them so, and I'm so sad I'm going to miss them on this pass

I avoid anything south of Laurel as much as possible these days. It seems like the Baltimore area problem has become Maryland drivers hiding behind Virginia tags. But 495 is definitely its own circle of hell, and i spent years driving it daily. The high blood pressure is real

Mine is mostly just family multi-media backup and photo storage. We really do go offline-area camping regularly and need an easy outpost for downloadable things. Phantom ebook changes back in the day cemented my paranoia about media, too.

I actually don't keep my primary db on my nas, just a backup, simply because I'm the one in control of my uptime and it's not always 99% ๐Ÿ˜‚

I personally advocate for keepass because open source, BUT it requires a certain level of tech savvy because you are responsible for your own db and it's real easy to screw it up, thus not for everyone. (No, i don't use Linux ๐Ÿ˜‚ but i do have a home nas, for context.)

Now I'm hearing my mother waxing poetic about rhodochrosite...

Good luck with the search! Fwiw, there's an app but aside from using it to register/set up, haven't looked at it since, with no issues.

Ordered my Bosch 100 series from Costco, about 6 months ago, because double warranty and installation included. So far, it's been very worth it!

Rage Against the Machine when they were opening for House of Pain at the old Hammerjacks. They were amazing. Which was great because HoP never made it onstage.

This abc broadcast has been one of the worst things I've seen and i would like to punch them all in the face

Dealing with Mom's estate and I've written more checks in the past 6 months than the last 6 years. It's very odd

I read way too much Andrews, King, and Steel as a pre-teen.

My son would make me sit in his room for software installs when he built computers, for much the same reason

Ah poop. Replied to the wrong post by accident and by the time I deleted and went to correct, it went poof. Some days are just like that, i guess.

Finally tackling White Rat in my TBR and found myself with an earworm of "there are no cats in America" while reading Wonder Engine. (complimentary)

Thanks @tkingfisher.com, loving the ride so far.

Bought 3 of the double-size bag of mini eggs recently (2 for me, 1 for adult kid) and partner looked at me and asked if we should just buy the whole case. I declined. I have regrets.
