I've been working on setting up Pomni, my new-to-me Mac Mini I'm using as a media and print server. Because she's running on macOS High Sierra, there is a refreshing lack of AI being shoved down my throat. No pressure to use Apple Intelligence. It's nice and quiet.
We’ve done $10 for a 32-page zine, but it depends on printing costs.
I’ve got High Sierra on it. The previous owner maxed out the RAM and I will swap in a SSD at some point.
I did wind up getting it. The guys at the shop were very excited when I said it was going to become a media server.
I want to be able to access a couple of printers remotely in the basement, which is why I was considering the mini.
Photo Printer is fine on WiFi. Label printer gets cranky that far from the router and it ignores the extender.

Yeah. They don’t service it any longer and replacing the battery myself is a task I really don’t want to attempt. Because the chassis swelled, it damaged the trackpad and housing.
It lived a very good life and created many comics, along with several volumes of Namesake and the first two Valors.
I’ve got my work MBP and an M1 Max MBP, thankfully. This one was relegated to media server status. But man it was a good machine. I yanked out the DVD drive and put a second HDD in it.
There’s a 2011 Mac Mini at a used shop near by for less than $100. I may grab that for a new media server.
