I think this is the team I've settled on for VGC Regulation M-A. A Charizard/Venusaur Sun duo accompanied by things like Sylveon, Gallade, and Garchomp to help out with the demons that my Gen 1s starters can't conquer, and Incineroar to be my tag team partner heeling it up against his opponent. 4/2

Now I'm seeing a lot more mainstream choices in Pokemon, items with some level of restraint, and a customization tool that I'm surprised all official parties involved dropped the OK for. I fear that my Nintendo Switch 2 is now the Pokemon machine, and this is all before Winds & Waves launches. 3/2

As for the game itself, this is the soft reboot that competitive Pokemon needed. Yes, the roster is smaller, and yes, the list of Pokemon and items have dwindled considerably, but it feels fresh. As if many of the boogeymen of Gen 9 OU have been snapped from existence, and that's a good thing. 2/2

I have been absolutely fucking enveloped into Pokemon Champions. It came at the perfect time off getting a near complete Pokedex in Legends Z-A, going back to finish the DLC for Violet, and casually running a full playthrough of Leaf Green after I finished up Fire Red. Party like it 1998! 1/2

DLSS5 is an admirable approach to realism, but it’s applications are exclusive and limited. For sports games that are hellbent on being authentic, this will drop the jaws it seeks to drop. For everything else, it interprets realism in unrealistic settings. A contradiction of artistic intent.

But with the recent price inflation to V-Bucks coming at the start of next season, it might be time to finally move on. And it's such a shame because with that The Simpsons map they put out in November... that was, beyond any doubt, the best The Simpsons game we're going to get in this decade. 2/2

I don't think I'm gonna look back on the Grace sections fondly on future runs. They felt like RE in bullet time compared to how fast Leon's sections are. Most of Leon's side is "Resident Evil's Greatest Hits", but it's overall not just on par with RE, but action games as a whole.

Watching some older Wrestlemanias to keep my general hype for Wrestlemania 42.
Today, it's Wrestlemania 2. A Wrestlemania taking place in 3 different cities, something that WWE should never do again. Speaking of things they should never do again; the opening contest ending in a double countout.

And also my weekend has sporting events that command to be watched be they motorsport (IndyCar), NHL, or pro wrestling related and one of y'all gotta go, and to top it all off, television is off its winter break this weekend so gotta make time for those. It's painful, but it'll be worth it. 2/2

I know that Fire Red/Leaf Green are getting the honors due to anniversary, but man, I would pay that same $20 for Emerald because the Battle Frontier alone justifies that price.

The people who are mad that Nintendo managed to remember Virtual Boy and release a physical replica (and refurbished Labo goggles at an affordable price) that you're forced to use in order to play the games are people I don't want to know, because that anger tells me they hate fun.

(and yeah, I did do Breath of the Wild via "Toy-Con". It's a slightly different perspective and that's it, and while it's certainly far too late to course correct, look at the VR Mod to that game, and tell me you, Nintendo, can't sell "seeing the world of Hyrule through your own eyes" to your fans.

I do honestly wish Nintendo would attempt the application of VR modes to their first-party titles. I mean, I'm bored to tears looking for progress in Metroid Prime 4, but I would be peachy with starting that game over if it meant I could replay it in VR.

Finally tackled the update for Fairy Tail Dungeons that dropped last week.

Great that they added Juvia, and she's perfect for my playstyle considering the amazing synergy she gets in a party with Gray, who was already my previous best character. They cleared the Special Labyrinth first try + Lucy.
