I see where you’re coming from, and agree. But they have the choice of raising taxes or borrowing, or reducing the NHS to pay for everything else. Glad I’m not making those choices.

I’m not defending them. But I’m getting tired of hearing about the mess they left behind. I want to hear more about their plans to reset, with some honesty about how long it will take. Which will be at least two terms.

Her reply was mostly true, but the Tories did start to recruit larger numbers of police in the Met. What I’m unsure of is if the numbers recruited outweighed the cuts they had previously made.

Hopefully she will be able to return at a later date, but it’s good to see that some in politics have a high enough moral standard to resign when they have behaved badly.

You are right. However the English language often has multiple meanings of one word.
