Sorry to hear about David Lynch. I worked beside him (same studio) while he was making BLUE VELVET. He answered my questions about his work with grace and honesty. I especially enjoyed his deeply existential comic strip, The Angriest Dog in the World.β

12 years ago I was the victim of an attack while walking to my car. He beat me up and I got a concussion. I wasnβt able to read for almost 8 years. With both frustration and determination, I did it! I am no longer a victim. Iβm a survivor. Iβm so proud of myself! #survivor #reading #books
Oh I am going to have to check my Hoopla!!!
Ah, awesome! I was supposed to read the poetry one during the last Palestine week in April, but Iβm a slow reader and didnβt get to it.
What is everyone reading this week? Iβm planning on reading A Woman Is No Man, Things You May Find Hidden In My Ear, and The Message. Salt Houses is also high on the list.

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers. My day 2.

You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.
Already unfollowed someone who made the bold opinion that audiobooks and even reading via braille donβt actually count as reading. Please donβt be that person. Be inclusive and not exclusionary. Reading is reading no matter how you consume! Keep doing you! π«Άπ»π
Thanks, but scientists who actually study the brain disagree with your βopinionβ.
So youβre saying a blind person reading through braille has never read? If 3 people read through different means but can still describe every detail and talk about the book, youβre saying only 1 actually read it? Sounds very ableist to me.

Most of this destruction is in south Lebanon.
No wonder then that there are those who call for reoccupation and resettlement. Intentions clear www.middleeasteye.net/live-blog/li...
My current ARC read. Iβm only three books away from my Goodreads 2024 goal of 100 books! 3 years ago I read 17! Iβve come a long way π
