The Texas legislature rammed through a gerrymandering bill at the request of Trump.
Virginia actually voted in favor of redistricting to counterbalance what Texas and other Republican-controlled states have done.
Yet only one is considered a "power grab."
Oligarch-owned media in a nutshell.
Russian asset propagandist Tucker Carlson bullied, attacked and threatened the American public for many years and made millions of dollars from the hate he deliberately spread on national tv, so he doesn’t get to cry about being attacked, bullied and threatened. Just STFU.
Congrats, Virginia! Thank you! Cheers!! 🍻
While in this case the bill is small enough to ID this as a Downy Woodpecker, sometimes it's not that easy. The trick is to zoom in the outer tail feathers. If they have black spots, then it's a Downy. If not, it's a Hairy.

You can have no rage, Republicans, when you lit the fuse.
You just got outplayed
A reminder while Republicans bitch about Dems finishing the redistricting fight they started: they have full control of gov’t— they can pass a law banning gerrymandering any time they want. They won’t. Republicans aren’t mad gerrymandering exists; they’re mad that they’re not the only ones using it.

"They were green, green as the moss on the old trees, it’s said, with eyes too wide and voices like water quelling from a fountain. No one could say how they came, only that they did. The ate only the food the old ones left for the dead to eat when they came."

Pigeon perched on branch with foliage in the background, description from ebird: ‘Medium-sized chunky pigeon that is dark blue with a pale gray hood. Appears short-tailed in flight. Found in rainforest, secondary habitat, and plantations, and locally in dry coastal scrub. Most common at higher elevations in most of its range. Most often seen perched up conspicuously on emergent trees, feeding on fruiting trees, or in flight in small flocks. The common vocalization is a quick series of low hoots or growls. Dark blue coloration and pale head separate it from all other pigeons in its range.’

23 April is #StGeorgesDay. St George, patron saint of England, is famed for his encounter with the dragon, a symbol of triumph over evil. In the saints’ calendar the bluebell is his flower, and blue, said to be his favoured colour, was once worn in his honour. #FolkloreThursday

Your government refusing to prosecute sexual predators, but protect them instead, only makes sense when you realize your government is being run by sexual predators.
ugh
Of course. Senate Republicans released a budget blueprint that would clear the way for a filibuster-proof bill to provide up to $70 billion for ICE and Border Patrol bypassing Democrats who have refused to fund the agencies without immigration enforcement restrictions. #DefundICE
Texas redistricts without a vote, Republicans cheer.
Dems in Virginia respond by putting it UP FOR A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE, it passes, Republican cry foul.
Oh well. Good job Virginia!!
