The (likely) coldest temperature in California this season according to xmACIS2 was this -21°F in Tulelake. Seems good enough, the nearest other station reported a low of -18°F that morning.

The coldest morning in the state this season occurred yesterday, with two sites in the northeast corner of the state dropping to -19°F. A PWS in MacDoel even got to -21°F. As always, it was probably colder in places without any weather stations, note the -26°F right over the border in Oregon.

Coldest morning in a long time. -17°F in Red Rock Valley, -16°F at Medicine Lake, and -12°F at Bogard Ranger Station. I also found -15°F at a PWS in Butte Valley, and -20°F a few miles north of the border in Lake County Oregon.
