Gosger Hopes Namesake Hits Home Run In Preakness Former Major League Baseball player Jim Gosger rooting for Preakness contender

My story on how a horse in Saturday’s Preakness came to be named for Jim Gosger, an obscure MLBer from the ‘60s and ‘70s who was the last batter to face Satchel Paige and was once declared dead by the NY Mets.
