This morning we visited Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. We learned about the stories of different prisoners and their treatment whilst being held there. @larberthigh.bsky.social @lhslanguages.bsky.social

We visited the Berlin Wall Memorial and discussed the role of the wall in the Cold War. @larberthigh.bsky.social @lhslanguages.bsky.social

The next stop for our Historians yesterday was the Olympic Stadium. We discussed the 1936 Olympics and the role it played in the Nazi maintenance of power. @larberthigh.bsky.social

Pupils are up bright and early this morning for our first stop at the East Side Gallery. This is the longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall, now used as an open art gallery!🇩🇪 @larberthigh.bsky.social @lhslanguages.bsky.social

The LHS Humanities and Languages Berlin Trip is well underway! This evening we visited the TV Tower which was built during the Cold War. Pupils loved being able to see Berlin at night! 🇩🇪 @larberthigh.bsky.social @lhslanguages.bsky.social

Over the past few weeks S2 have been researching how Christmas is celebrated all over the world, by researching a specific country they were interested in!
