I'd strongly recommend to file an issue in the spec's repo to include BLAKE3, describing the status if the spec and its current standardization venue. That's the best way to gather feedback about the potential interest of web browsers on a future implementation.

Yeah, that's true. What I know is that the spec editor is involved in the IETF working groups and trusts the procedures that drive the algorithms' specifications, so perhaps there is some bias when not considering other groups like C2SP.

Thanks for the insight, it's interesting indeed but I'm not sure at this point whether it'd be enough. In the CSP page it's stated:

> Since C2SP produces specifications, not standards, technical disagreements can be ultimately be resolved by forking.

This was the first Rust library implemented in V8. They finally passed all of the Temporal tests this year in January! So they have full support.

So it's now out on Firebox and Chromium and it's coming to Safari and Node 26. #SotB26

The TC39 committee realised this is a huge undertaking and probably biting more than they can chew. They realised they needed to work on it full time.

It ended up having a lot of spec champions including Jason. #SotB26

You can now easily customize find-in-page with the new ::search-text pseudo-element, that is shipping in Chromium 144.0.7547. 🚀
