So I learn a better way to do something in code. Do I start doing it the better way in my codebase right away, so nows theres 2 ways the same functionality is done? Or do I continue with the inferior way so its consistent... 🤔

I don't know why I always feel like I have to manifest a UI entirely from my imagination... Note to self: just look at simlar sites and apps. Theres only so many ways to organize content.

Cursor autocomplete makes me feel like I actually know rust (I don't)

wow so I guess I leveled up 😎

I had this thought as well but with wordpress themes. Even in 2011 you could just pay $15 for a theme and adjust the colors and logos yourself. Half the vibeslop I'm seeing is literally reproducing this functionality. Using a llm to rewrite your entire css file with new colors is pretty funny.

Why are hackers always wearing hoodies? 🤣

I'm not sure if I ever put my hood up while using a computer. Maybe once on a park bench with a laptop.

'New update available' Every single day, cursor? Maybe an update option on close would be nice instead of while I'm working.

We solo devs have to wear many hats, which is both terribly overwhelming and absolutely exciting.

I have many moments when I worry, thinking if what I’m doing will lead to anything good, but at the same time, I would not give up making my game for anything in the world!

The DJI Romo robovac had security so poor, this man remotely accessed thousands of them DJI may have fixed it now.

Claude Code was used to do the reverse engineering.

Not hard to see how an AI agent could achieve something similar even as a step some innocently established goal.

Poor security + hacker-like capacities for anyone using an AI agent.

What could go wrong?

If the recent docker update cleared your containers ports, try this:

$docker network connect bridge your-container-name

Very suspicious this happened... 🤔

“With the loss of hundreds of experts, CISA’s ability to detect threats from the most significant adversary, China, as well as others like Russia and Iran, is severely diminished, and now is not the time for the U.S. to let down its guard,” said a former agency official.

I don't think experienced devs appreciate how much we push the AI agents in the right direction with our prompts. If you get lazy with prompting, they create a giant steaming pile of 💩 But if you sit for 15 minutes packing context and advice the results make it seem like our days are numbered.

Do the people using AI on here to build websites know about Fiver? Like, you can pay a professional a small amount to do that and it probably won’t get hacked like Notepad.
