So I learn a better way to do something in code. Do I start doing it the better way in my codebase right away, so nows theres 2 ways the same functionality is done? Or do I continue with the inferior way so its consistent... 🤔

I had this thought as well but with wordpress themes. Even in 2011 you could just pay $15 for a theme and adjust the colors and logos yourself. Half the vibeslop I'm seeing is literally reproducing this functionality. Using a llm to rewrite your entire css file with new colors is pretty funny.

I don't think experienced devs appreciate how much we push the AI agents in the right direction with our prompts. If you get lazy with prompting, they create a giant steaming pile of 💩 But if you sit for 15 minutes packing context and advice the results make it seem like our days are numbered.

What happened to all those clever newfangled react hooks? AI agents just spam useEffect everywhere 🤣

Do the people using AI on here to build websites know about Fiver? Like, you can pay a professional a small amount to do that and it probably won’t get hacked like Notepad.
