- I completed my practical coaching assessment, studying for National Board certification in Health and Wellness
- I took on an Interim Head of Engineering role
- I’m down about 9 lbs
- I rebuilt my homelab. I’ve got about ~600TFLOPS of tensor performance on my ML server

It's about time I dusted off this space.

Earning the trust of your team is a key component of any aspect of “leadership”.

But it truly is earning, because trust exists on a spectrum, and it has to be cared for and maintained through shared values and communicated outcomes.

My end goal:

- be able to enjoy a lengthy, fulfilled retirement in a way my mom didn’t get to.

- freely pour back more into the communities that I’m a child of and that I’ve been welcomed into.

- wear “real” clothes as few hours a week as possible lol

That said
- hashtags and ecosystem building out discovery features is going to be dope (and potentially do things Twitter can't)
- GIFs
- and I want to see what community conventions drive new features for interaction in this world, the way it happened on Twitter in the first ~5 years.

I'm one of those 2007 Twitter folks (*), so what kept me coming back was:
- community driving of features / interactions
- engagement
- spaces you can mix and mingle in organically

*mention because we didn't have hashtags, RTs or mentions for years lol. user convention turned them into features.
