Yes! The monster literally spends most of the book moaning & groaning in its underground lair. The book itself is just silly (the Saurians having been here for 100s of millions of years)! The main character goes from being a determined & intelligent young woman to a poor lost damsel in distress!

A young school teacher living in London is ever so lucky & inherits a Scottish castle from a previously unknown relative! And it sits right on Loch Ness! What could ever go wrong? Hint: run away, this is awful!
