So on seeing the game in motion (haven't played it myself), that Mouse: P.I. for Hire game's deal is essentially "late-90s, Duke Nukem/Shadow Warrior-alike shooter, but as an old timey cartoon", yes?
Okay, I see the vision. Seems neat. Wish it was coming to a system I own.

Credit where it's due, even to The Mouse: This is a VERY positive thing to do and was also probably incredibly difficult 👍
Oh yeah. That was better.
WHAT THE FUCK MY ART IS IN FAMITSU???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? WHAT??????????????????????????????
Trump is trying to destroy the US Forest Service — closing offices, slashing jobs, and gutting protections for 193 million acres of public land. Tell Congress to block this illegal assault NOW.
Perfect comedy
I think artists should be able to make a decent living without living in one of the three designated "this is where you live if you want to be an artist" cities
This is good, of course.
Also, the NPS website about Stonewall still makes no reference to trans people and has not for ~14 months. (Trans people were foundational to the Stonewall uprising.)

An overhead photo of me laying down on a green velvet couch. A long hair calico cat is upside down in sort of an exposed belly shrimp pose fully asleep on my shoulder.
She's 22 by the way. Everybody tell her she's doing a very good job being alive
Has Jason Statham done a train movie yet?
Because if not he should do a train movie.
I cannot imagine what the pre-studio notes version of this might have been, because BORDERLANDS feels tailor-made to be "Chasing Sci-fi Action Ensemble Trends At Least A Decade Late: The Movie".
A film doesn't have the benefit of a satisfying repetitive play rhythm to fall back on, can only suggest the allure that comes with game loot. So the comedy's all BORDERLANDS has left to distinguish itself.
And if that fails (which it does), then what remains is a shallow Mad Max riff in space.
The "jokes", such that they are, fell flat for me across the board. And that's, like, one of the few things you kinda can't afford to fuck up with a BORDERLANDS thing.
Killing stuff with your buddies, hoarding colourful loot, and scattershot comedy - that's BORDERLANDS. That's just the brand.
The characters are flat and don't boast a ton of personality. The set design looks barely a step above a SyFy production. Any "twists" or story turns are telegraphed obviously, WAY in advance and don't amount to much. The action set pieces are pretty lifeless and lack impact.
I imagine fans weren't thrilled at how the characters and assorted stuff from the games were changed from their original context.
The real problem is that the film doesn't use any of it in an interesting or compelling way.
Got around to the BORDERLANDS movie.
Wow, what a fucking waste. It's not even that it's uniquely terrible in any specific way, it's just so bland and devoid of ambition or purpose beyond "get a bare minimum releasable movie over the finish line".

This one is worth it.
First PoC and first woman to go around another world. Don't stop talking about this point. It's important.

Far from the most important detail of the Embracer Group debacle, but apparently Free Radical Design got revived to work on a new TimeSplitters... Only to end up shuttered by Embracer two years later.
This fucking business.
So... "Once Upon A Time" sure was a show

Are you telling me that industry arguments about raising wages killing jobs or making prices skyrocket aren't true?!
OK, they’re basically complaining now that the average teenage girl’s life isn’t traumatic and stressful ENOUGH.
This is madness!
Contrary to public perception a huge % of pregnant teenagers in the 1990s were impregnated by adult men. The younger they were, the larger the average age gap between mother and father was. Fixing teen pregnancy was in part a clampdown on statutory rape. That's what conservatives want to reverse.

To all who celebrate
"Luddites" is a good term for those who oppose AI because the Luddites weren't against *all* technology, just forms of technology that they knew would pay workers less and turn out a shittier product

Revisited the SUPER MARIO BROS MOVIE today (yes I'll get around to seeing GALAXY, no I don't know when that'll be).
Still a lot of fun. Not a ton of depth character-wise, but the cast own their roles well and the colour & playfulness of the world (and the animation) are more the focus anyway.
People you need to stop listening to literally everything when it comes to streaming numbers.
Nobody has the "real" numbers. No company is making decisions on a settled number equation like they were in 90s broadcast. Marvel renewed "WONDER MAN" and "MARVEL ZOMBIES." Nobody knows anything.
"I hear Starfleet Academy only got 400,000 views."
You heard that from a guy who heard it from a guy, both of whom *want* to believe that's true. They hate the last 10 years of Star Trek. They incessantly say "Star Trek is dead" because that's what they *want*.
That's not a trustworthy source!
