Baldur's Gate 3 works natively on Apple Silicon, so of course I had to finally buy and try it. Game runs butter smooth and is addicting.

The most remarkable thing about these devices is their reported performance. For Mac games its obviously lower FPS, but playable. Classic WoW runs at around 60-80FPS and Retail around 45-60 which is... can your Chromebook or budget tier Windows laptop do that??

The MacBook Neo is getting very good reviews. I wouldn't be surprised if it eats into the Chromebook market. Ever so slightly more expensive, but the dollar value gives you much more.

Lamb in the US is also just not as good as Karoo lamb, but we were kind of lucky that way. You can import it here, but I'd prefer not to sell my kidneys.

If there is a radical technical thing I want Microsoft to do with Windows, its to divorce NT from its DOS compatibility lineage. NT at its core does not see drive letters or use backslashes or need restrictions on file names. Have the old Win9x apps run in emulators instead.

Life has been very good since Christmas. Not because anything in particular happened, but because my attitude towards it has changed.

Likely not permanent but I decided to quit caffeine three days ago and oh gosh the headaches are strong. That said, my energy levels are starting to feel much more consistent again.
