That sucks so much :(
My Merlin BotD was the Red-Winged Blackbird. Found this guy hanging out atop a lamppost globe near sunset. I lined him up with the full moon then waited for a good shot of him making a call so it looked like he was howling at the moon.

I support you either way
COME ON 2026 don’t fuck it up
I’m so sorry. It’s the kindest act we do for them, but it’s still devastating.
Ooooh
So... we don't want to help the people of Ukraine or those starving in Gaza or Africa, because we're busy overthrowing a government to steal oil for the oil companies?
I think I understand the priorities.
Good morning what the fuck

I can’t quite put my finger on why “Wake Up Dead Man” didn’t do it for me, but I just didn’t connect with it… even though I think it might be an excellent movie.
To be fair, “person of the year” isn’t always an endorsement
My big fuzzy dog is so perfect
Enjoying these colorful holiday lights in our house ❤️
Why can’t I just sleep like a normal person 😭 😭 😭
Haha love a friend who responds to “I know we all agree I am a much more pleasant person now than 15 years ago” with “no question” without a moment’s hesitation.
Secure chat from a doctor I respect at work starts with “question for you, because you are so smart…”
Be still my heart!
Politico: Judge orders Trump administration to pay full SNAP benefits: The Trump administration is appealing the decision, which requires officials to send the money to millions of food stamp recipients by Friday.
This judge ordered the Trump Administration to release all its SNAP funding by Friday because, in his own words, "Children are immediately at risk of going hungry."
How sick do you have to be to appeal that order?
Our President straight up wants kids to starve.
The ADL can claim it’s “repugnant” to judge @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social based on his ethnicity or faith, but its “Mamdani Monitor” speaks much louder.
Good morning ❤️
We had epic sunset sky tonight.

The conviction against former deputy sheriff Sean Grayson, who is white, carries a potential sentence of between four and 20 years. (via @wbez.org)
Hello Chief and APD Leadership, I just wanted to jot a quick thank you note for those who participated in this meeting with the Latino community about ICE in our neighborhoods. Sadly, this problem is not going away anytime soon. Historically, the police have been on the wrong side of history during the civil rights movement and the labor movement - defending capital. The pivotal points in American history are when police realized that their solidarity should be with labor; not capital. Labor vs. police: Learning from working-class history Workers World In this current struggle, I believe that we are 2-3 years away from a moment where we see the shift in solidarity. I would like to see Aurora lead, and show something different. It will create discomfort during the transformation. I noticed during the march towards Blue Kangaroo, when the police escort disappeared, that activists I didn't know used their vehicles to block the intersections and protect the marchers.
All living things have the capacity to evolve and grow. Government is about to go through a huge evolutionary period and shed that which is not necessary, and re-focus on what is important. As government continues to disintegrate from the top down, we have an opportunity to re-invent the ways we find food, water, shelter and protection. We would like the Aurora Police Department to play a historic role in defending the United States of America, and our city against fascism. We have a unique opportunity to do something different, leave our mark in the history books, and make a difference. I'm excited about the opportunity and look forward to discussing it further. Respectfully, John Laesch Mayor, City of Aurora laesch@aurora.il.us
I haven't seen people here mention this letter from the mayor of Illinois' 2nd-largest city (Aurora, 40+% Latino)
to the Aurora Police
following egregious attacks by immigration in Aurora and related protests
So here it is!
Some wild split and coiled carrots my husband got this week.

Autumnal sunsets can be spectacular sometimes. Last night did not disappoint.

I wonder if the guy driving back and forth past the protest flying his Trump 2028 flag realizes he is the antithesis of democracy.
We weren’t at the first one, but this definitely had amazing turnout!!
To no one’s surprise, #NoKings in Peoria was positive, safe, peaceful, and uplifting.
