Overall solid Mania. Enjoyed it as a whole more than last year despite issues with certain matches (including one I still really liked) and am pretty cool with most results (minus the last one, but that might just be me being bored of his persona since the Drew match in the UK).

Top 4 Matches (In Order Of When They Aired): Becky/AJ, Seth/Gunther, IC Ladder Match (Great weekend for both IC Titles. Keep giving them big spotlights, please) & Roman/Punk.

Kind of a mess in certain aspects, I totally get why someone would hate it, but I liked it a fair bit.

Admittedly most of my reasoning for Jade winning was based on thinking Bianca would dethrone her.

That isn’t going to happen now, but I’ll still stick with her retaining if only because I think there’s more to do with her and Michin/B-Fab as a trio.

I don’t miss Facebook but I miss my old wrestling group on Facebook being active. My introduction to the IWC, and it was very welcoming of me when I knew nothing about wrestling 10 years ago.

That being said, I do like that now I just take in things without immediately rushing to social media.

Kind of happy I didn’t follow the feeds and just watched it without ever looking at my phone.

Not saying that people are wrong for having big issues/disappointments with the show (I expressed some myself), but I’m just happy I didn’t allow outside voices to potentially influence my final thoughts.

It’s National Library Week, so support your fucking libraries people. Use them, fight for their funding, fight for your librarians. Don’t let your most reliable third space go to waste.

Today’s movie.

Really enjoyed Becky/AJ & Seth/Gunther.

Thought Jacob/Drew and Liv/Steph were nice as well.

Solid tag matches (even if I’m bummed since I was pulling for Lyra/Bayley)

I get the idea of what they were going for with Cody/Randy. I just think certain aspects could’ve been handled better.

4/7 ain’t bad but here’s to doing better tomorrow.

Honestly the two the main reasons I keep tabs on WWE.

Always at least try to keep up with them.

Anyway, shout out to Becky & Gunther.

I just think they’re neat.

Like imagine Charlotte/Becky/Sasha, Becky/Bianca, Sasha/Bianca or Charlotte/Rhea getting less time than an episode of SpongeBob.

Again, hope it’s just a weirdly paced show issue and by Backlash we’re right back to 15-20 minute minimum matches. That roster is so good and should get to go all out.

Granted, I also thought that opening tag and Drew/Jacob ended quicker than I thought they would, so hopefully it’s just a poorly timed Mania thing and not “We‘re afraid of the women outperforming the men”.

THE REAL MAIN EVENT OF WRESTLEMANIA

While I thought the work in all of them was good, it’s not great having all of the Women’s Matches be less than 10 minutes on the biggest show of the year.

Especially when all three were title matches…

Bummed Bayley & Lyra lost.

Just felt like the natural choice would be to do a full circle moment with them.

Oh well, at least they can still be on the hunt for the belts.

Hell yeah! Congrats Bianca!

Also: This is her 5th Mania win, which I think means she officially has the most wins of any woman in Mania history. That’s cool.
