Yep, we can't build our own ways of wanting to be involved to help society. I know I feel like I am wasting a lot of my effort at work and it is hard.

I would love that too. It would be nice to just write and be more available to support the dreams and ambitions of people who care about the world. A lot of the work we do seems a bit pointless sometimes.
That is really hard. ๐ it is a hard choice to make sometimes but you have to watch out for your kids.
Extra power is always good and it is good that you recognize the power of your community is vital. I hope your week is starting off well. ๐
Of course. If you need someone to process with, I am happy to do that with you. Processing the difficulties of the world is a part of my full-time job and I am always happy to help if desired. ๐ overwhelm is a challenging state of being and I hope you have your ways to cope. Take care, Carly!
It is hard to know what to say especially when there is so much to consume. I am finding myself not as chatty on here either. I do like connecting with people when I have social energy though.
I try to cultivate these kinds of conversations but I have a job where that comes a bit more naturally. But yeah, miss running into these conversations.
Very nice. I havent seen much of Pragmata with the gaming communities I am a part of so I am excited to see your thoughts. I hope you are doing well, Arielle!
I will. Persona 2: Eternal Punishment is my game on the docket today. ๐
Very nice. Yeah, I had to go into a black screen and type a file path to load the exe file. Oh I guess that is not really programming... oops. I remember the first Civilization being on DOS and Railroad Tycoon. Good times! I hope you are having a good start to the weekend!
I dont remember that one but if I ever get a system which can utilize DOS I will have to look it up. DOS was great, it was fun to learn how to program file paths to tell the computer to access the game.
Dragonsphere I think was the name of the game, old point and click DOS game.
Especially when everyone is complaining about fraud, waste, and balanced budgets. Certain people have never been told no in their lives though. For some people, there is never enough to satisfy them. It is extra disheartening knowing we have a hospital in such dire straits.
I wonder a lot about how much our sense of community has eroded because we have taken a large percentage of the money used for free spaces and funneled it into entertainment which only a percentage of people can afford. We dont meet people randomly in many settings anymore.
This is a very good reflection. I appreciate when you share your personal reflections and you are well aware of what is happening. Thank you for being a source of knowledge and grace.
This is awful. Entertainment, arts, and conference space is important but these people have more assets and funds than they know what to do with. They dont need more of my tax dollars to support upgrades we dont really need.
When we hate expertise as a society, yes it is definitely amateur hour.
Though I do remember pre-emptive strike debates going differently in America in the early 2000s among Catholics than they are now. That is nice to see.
Windows is basically advertising and surveillance software at this point. I probably should learn Linux too but it just sounds like a hassle... OneDrive and Sharepoint are just awful...
I am glad you are feeling a sense of purpose. That is a great place to be. Congrats on being so close to finishing your program. ๐
That is really impressive. Apple products tend to last a while which is good to see. I uninstalled a bunch of bloatware and installed a different OS on my phone which has preserved my phone's life. Hopefully, this phone lasts a while as restoring this one for trade will be a hassle.
Good luck. I hope it is an okay transition.
Yeah, I think that is becoming more my philosophy even though financially it costs more to pay for a phone from scratch every time you need to replace it.
Very true. And taking any living being in your home requires care and planning for the long-term. I just know for my pets because of their conditions, I would need some sort of accommodations to help one of my cats manage the flight.
Crossing an ocean with a pet would be the only case where I am not sure how that would be done, but crossing land borders with paperwork seems simple enough. I love my pets, they add a lot of character to my home.
Yeah, it was a nice find and a game I have been wanting to play.
That is a nice feeling when you are keeping up with a lot and mostly succeeding. ๐
I am glad you had that support from strangers. I have definitely had a few moments where strangers have been a good support in tough moments. Life can be really hard and I like to think kindness flows into the Earth and is part of the rebalancing process even if we dont see its effects.
Also good to know. I just took a big swing to get a physical copy of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment and a couple of other PS1 games but I will take a look. ๐ how have things been for you?
I am probably a bit too passive when I play Civ especially considering nations attack pretty readily most of the time. I dont know when I will get back into a Civ game but I appreciate your knowledge.
Very nice. I usually only get one or two units to ward off barbarians and then do more military later. It is a very different approach that I am curious about.
Very nice. I will take one suspicious hot dish please. ๐
