Yes, that seems to be the common model for newpaper sites these days. (Though for those purposes "accept" shouldn't do any harm if you use an incognito window and a VPN.)
Now that many website cookie pop ups seem to have been forced to give you a button to "Reject optional cookies" why on earth would ANYONE EVER do anything other than click it?
"Oh, I think I'll click 'Accept all cookies', that sounds nice!"
“…And now you see why Neil always said never to mention — oh, hey Houston, we’re back. Saw normal, far side of the moon things.“
Looking up from the platform at Paddington District and Circle Line tube station to the canopy and red brick buildings up above. Sign reading “Way out Praed Street” visible at bottom left.
Skeleton of the West Pier sailing alone in a choppy sea under a big grey cloud in a blue sky.
Hastings station visible in the distance from a bridge over the tracks to the west.
Selfie of me in a purple hat in from of a wooden post covered with rusty padlocks.

When someone says they’re doing something “as a courtesy” it always sounds to me as if they’re really pissed off.
<happily listening to music>
Apple Music: Here’s some Coldplay
<scrabbling to stop it> what? No! Don’t ever do that again. DISLIKE!👎
Apple Music: gently pushes some Ed Sheeran towards me
I have never played, searched for or allowed anything of theirs to be played in its entirety EVER, and yet..
IG post from @weldermemesss Introducing the fuck everyone else's eyes 3000 welding hood it's a welding hood covered in glass squares like a disco ball
Relativistic Word Count Dilation: As the target approaches, the number of words being typed appears to slow down despite the fact that the subjective speed of typing is the same.
That's another word that always trips me up. "Bizarre".
I always start off spelling it "Bizzare", probably largely due to the existence of the "Some Bizzare" record label.
There's another one. "Existence".
I only ever saw Nightmare on Elm Street once on video in the 1990s. So it's bizarre that Freddy Krueger actually turned up in a dream I had last night shouting "Now I'm on stilts baby!"
Bonus #OnThisDay for 6 April as I really like this short video (Hastings)
A cat’s white paw next to a shiny pound coin with a thistle design
Warehouses and a wall on the far side of a canal under bright blue sky. On the nearside is vegetation and a railing.
Road name sign in a grey stone wall reading “Telephone Avenue”.

This is the first time in British history that a party to the left of Labour has topped a national poll.
Surely a packet of cable ties wouldn't add much to the payload? Perhaps zero g does weird things to cables.
I know the tweet is Al generated when they use " ," before and.
“I will NOT sacrifice the Oxford comma. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They assimilate the em dash and we fall back. They capture ‘not just X but y’ and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!”
Photo by Christina Koch of Victor Glover, Jeremy Hansen, and Reid Wiseman working together inside the Orion spacecraft on their way to the Moon. Wires and cables everywhere.
They’ve only been up there a few days and it’s already looking “space messy”.

The heads of two gulls immediately outside my window. One looking in at me, the other keeping a lookout.

*for me not “first me”
This (short!) sketch caught that feeling first me perfectly.
NASA astronaut and Artemis II mission specialist Christina Koch peers out of one of the Orion spacecraft's main cabin windows, looking back at Earth, as the crew travels towards the Moon.
Love this image of astronaut Christina Koch in the Orion spacecraft looking back at Earth, especially the floating braids. 👩🔬 ⚛️ 🔭 🧪 🚀 🌔

Two cats sitting on rocks around a store front. One is a calico perched atop a rock. The other is an orange and white cat that has slumped its entire body over the rock
Man. That is one bisexual cat.
Immediately asking “How can I exploit this situation to my own advantage with the minimum of effort?” when encountering something new is the root of all evil.
National Trust sign saying I am old and need to rest. Please do not climb on me.
I need a t-shirt with this on.
Or move!
"How can Keir Starmer & his Labour Government be so unimaginative and lacking in boldness? All they need to do is look at how angry people are, look at how much people are suffering. Maybe they don’t understand it. Maybe they just don’t care."

Vestibule of an empty train carriage into which a gull has just strolled, casual as you like.
View of a corner of an old Victorian factory with chimney poking into blue cloud marbled sky and graffiti covering a lot of one side.

When Things Get Knocked Over Spill Or Fall Out Of Cupboards
Just managed to accidentally throw a jar of turmeric across the kitchen. Luckily the lid didn’t come off. So it’s going to be one of THOSE days.
