Last sketch illustration roulette for Mhysa!
I wanted something that matched hers before since they're a couple... T vT
I actually have one more on deck so maybe I'll open after... Or before... Quibbles in indecision.

And with that I think I'm officially done YCHs except for possibly one-offs or chibis in the future!
As much fun as it was I think I just enjoy tailoring compositions to individual characters/dynamics, and I can't do that with set poses ):
Valentine's YCH for Yamma and Red!
Thank you for trusting me with your precious ships T vT//
Am I allowed to join #portfolioday still?
I'm a Canadian freelance illustrator trained in concept design.
I don't have as much samples in design as I'd like to these days but I'm open for commercial work!
Sketch roulette commission for Embyr!
One more to go and I can open these T vT//
Might take a small break first I've been grinding so much... O(-<

Whaa I love seeing them together and your style is always so cool!
Thank you so much again!!
A dark portal shifts in hues of vivid blue and black behind two figures. Rakath, a demon within the body of an aura, swings his greatsword forward at an unseen enemy. Ciana stands, poised beside him, calm arm outstretched directing cerulean-blue pendulums forward. While Rakath's full attention is what lies before him - one swears Ciana's blue gaze is piercing right through you. An illustrated gpose of Rakath, as a dark knight and Ciana as a sage. Characters belong to their respective owners.

Of Ciani and Rakath for @saibraeus.bsky.social
I really enjoyed learning about these two and then having a chance to pose them. Thank you for trusting me with your characters 💙

Whaa thank you!! I love your work too it's so adorable T vT//
Technically I'm not sure if I can call these 'splashes' anymore since they can be vertical or horizontal...
I guess I'll just call them illustration roulettes?

Begging my fellow Canadians who have trouble driving at night due to excessive headlight brightness/temperature to please fill this out... O(-<
Valentine's YCH for @broshinendo.bsky.social !
Thank you as always!
Also want to mention there's no self calibration like on the wacom drivers. That's something that I feel the XP pen could really benefit from, since different setups require sitting at different angles. ):
Really sad about this; it'd help with the parallax.
Still, it's not deal breaking for now.
Also compared to my 5 y/o cintiq 22hd, the color IS more accurate by far, at least comparing it side to side to a dell ultrasharp monitor.
The cintiq always had a bit of off color to it since the day I got it so... Yea.
Will note if anything else arises but I'm hoping I can get over the hiccups!
like before, has a nice matte feeling that's not as rough as some paper textures that I have on my ipad. I actually like it a lot, feels very nice and premium.
Overall the build seems really nice. Lighter than my wacom by far and cleaner lines with no fans. I really want to like it..! >
on it so much. It seems to take more force to activate too, and I don't know if there's a separate pressure for the eraser specifically.
After a lot of messing around, the pen pressure is fine.
Screen is also pleasant to draw on compared to the old vr that I tested prior. It's not super glassy >
causing me to either have to double tap back or just undo things when I try to move on. I think this might be okay with some getting used to?
The eraser is really not accurate for me though, partially due to the slant design.
Honestly most of my complaints have to do with the eraser since I rely>
designed with a slanted notch, which means for one side the tilt has less space. Not sure I like this so far? It's... Weird..
- It doesn't seem to be as precise as the wacom at least on the eraser side. Dead center is fine but when I'm changing menus it's either not precise or not sensitive enough>
Going from cintiq 22hd to XP pen 22 pro general thoughts while I'm testing it out so far:
- Pen tracking requires a closer distance to the screen as opposed to the wacom. Trips me up a lot since I'm used to moving the cursor into position as I glide the pen down.
- The eraser on the XP is>
I was swapping 22 inch tablets off my monitor arm and forgot that it was spring loaded so when I got the wacom off the whole thing hit me in the nose...
I'm just glad my glasses aren't broken but man it's bruised now. O(-<
I actually have a lot of things on the verge of being done but the polish always takes me 209573467 years.
Did I never post these prototype ones.. I can't remember so here are my dumbasses (+ one not dumbass I love flower man Haru.)
And an emote for @yenyoru.social !
Did some of these doodles for samples and then I burned out a little bit.. T vT
I'll offer them in the future. . .
For:
Hika | Yurei | An'fa | Embyr | Esme
Thank you for commissioning me!
It's less rendering and more just focusing on light/technique on these, but I'm having fun learning.
Sketch commission for Yurei!
Trying to figure out a new rendering flow and I think I'm slowly getting used to it
