Yes. I used to cross that bridge in my commute and I loved how he captured it.

I’m so sad to see this. He was one of the lawyers I followed from my earliest days on twitter. I always loved his photos of the bridge at Blackfriars.
Someday, with luck and hard work, she will have a name too.
From the UK government model services contract: 5.5.13.ensure that neither it, nor any of its Affiliates, embarrasses the Authority or otherwise brings the Authority into disrepute by engaging in any act or omission in relation to this Contract which is reasonably likely to diminish the trust that the public places in the Authority; and
Now this is interesting…
Ah, interesting! Of course my first thought was whether that made it into the final contract, because I’m cynical that way. Also think it would be hard to argue in re how they’re actually delivering the services.
A crab apple tree is a riot of delicate white blossom against the fresh green of new leaves. In the background is a timber framed white thatched cottage.
And just like that, the apple blossom is out and we are really in spring 🌱
Sadly, I couldn’t find it on contracts finder but dammit I really want to see those terms now.
Perfect timing for all of us who need a laugh
I’m looking for an automated way to read others’s scientific data without giving credit or acknowledgement, and also claim full credit for insights from it. And I want it to have a fitting name

This is reminding me of that scene in Buffy where Giles is saying to draw on her primal slayer senses and she picks out the guy whose fashion sense is 20 years out of date.
Just seen a promoted post on LinkedIn quoting an Elon X post. I’m so Bluesky brained it took me awhile to realise they weren’t dunking on him.
Remembering a couple of years ago my Hungarian friend saying he’d campaigned for the opposition and how disheartening it was to encounter such blind enthusiasm for Orbán and his party. So much can change in even a short time.
We need to talk about #BillC22- the largest surveillance bill Canada has ever seen.
It would force every messaging app, cloud service, and internet provider we use to build government backdoors into their infrastructure. Permanently.
Tell your MP to kill it now 👇

There really are a lot of people who think that reporting rumours is somehow a magic shield against a defamation suit.
Man, we have the same conversations every time a major story like this breaks. It’s exhausting. It is SO HARD to publish a story about gendered violence for a whole host of reasons, a main one being that victims (rightly so!) don’t want to talk.
omg

THEY CAN LITERALLY TELL THEIR CHILDREN “I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK”
One of the things I miss about old Twitter is if I posted something like this on there then my entire print run for that week would sell out in about two hours and I’d spend days fulfilling the orders. I’ve only sold one print via Bluesky in all the time I’ve been here.

White tulips with dark raspberry streaks at various stages of opening.
Two different types of tulip in front of a collection of “bridal crown” narcissus. There is one white and pink tulip with pointed petals almost on the ground. I bought this because it’s called Norah, as is my friend’s daughter.
Three different types of tulip along a path. In the foreground, a deep orange, then the white and pink, then a sea of yellow. A tortie cat heads downs the path toward the cat nip.
Last autumn I bought (not enough) new tulip and daffodil bulbs and we planted them. Today they’re bringing me joy. 🌱 #BloomScrolling

On the one hand, I could feel smug that I’m not due back at work until after the end of civilisation. On the other hand being in meetings all day would at least be a distraction.

I worked on the research contract for this project. It was a great experience as university research support to help the academic to protect her IP on this one.

Last night, around midnight UK time, my Bluesky feed was full of Americans wondering if their president plans to drop a nuclear bomb on Tuesday.
I’m really happy that you caught something potentially dangerous before you got on a plane and really frustrated for you at that’s happened since. I hope things get better!
