I do treat them differently and I can't really verbalize it. I have to feel what works (or makes them readable). Sometimes colors that look to match might be muddy.

Example. The blue looks bright but it's the darkest color. Intensity is deceptive! Finding color relationships is hard.

I can keep them safe by eating them first. That way no other kobold can hurt them

It helped a lot having a physical reference to draw from. Most of the time I'm trying to figure out how to make 3d forms work in 2d

When I started to do art, I didn't have regular access to the internet. So my expectations where "Is this funny to my friends?" They didn't mind the mistakes. They never critiqued my work.

Make the art you want! It's okay if it's not absolutely perfect. You'll always get another chance to try again

Time to time I see new artists struggling with high expectations. They often set an unobtainable goal of "I need skills in anatomy, construction, perspective, gestures, color theory, proportions, texture before I can draw for real" Getting stuck in endless loop of improvement (1/?)
