If that fucker got the Nobel Peace Prize, it would cease to have any meaning at all.

I see a lot of people saying that a person charged with a crime deserves the chance to prove their innocence.

Please stop doing this because you have it backwards and this is really important.

It is ALWAYS the government's burden to prove a person guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Butternut squash is versatile as heck in soup. You can go so many directions with it.

I dunk on him every time I see his FB ads. They're garbage, 100% shitting on Democrats for sending fundraising emails while he <checks notes> is literally asking for money.

He's a grifter, same as Temu Larry David.

Feeling empathy for people who don't see your humanity is a wild ass choice

I'm fine. Thanks. Other than, you know, <gestures at everything>. It was a long time ago, I went NC before I was 20, and he's been dead for years.

My main point is that waiting for an aggressor to stop, or appeasing them, or being a good enough person that they just realize they were wrong—it doesn't work.

Once they have gotten violent, things are violent. Making them un-violent is not one of the available options.

Thank you. Right, there's no fixing it. There was never any fixing it. But not being beaten would have been nice.

My main point is fuckers don't stop on their own, and appeasing doesn't stop it either.

His oldest, yeah. Not my mom's oldest. But he beat us all, although I was always first in line.

Thank you. I'm good. That fucker has been dead for a long time.

I'm just saying, they never stop willingly.

I was raised in a violent home. The violence came from one direction, my father. I tried avoiding him, appeasing him, appealing to his "natural affection," being as "good" as possible, being invisible. Nothing worked.

The one thing I never tried was fighting back. I regret that.

The truth of the matter is that if anyone but Charlie Kirk had been killed at today’s shooting, then Charlie Kirk would be out there right now using the shooting as pretext to deliver arguments designed to make sure that the next shooting would happen, and the next one, and the next, and the next.

If you are being threatened, punching your antagonist could escalate things beyond what would have happened otherwise. Talking them down is often better.

If you're being punched, you're already being punched. It's happening. You're not going to talk them down.

We're already being punched.

People need to pressure their republican reps on this! It's the only chance to try to get enough republicans to vote no. It may not work but worth the effort.

I guess at that point I don't need to worry about my liver. So, sure.

Yes. Yes, we do.

Huh... just last night I wondered why I've suddenly started seeing commercials for Paxlovid again. I assumed this was at least part of the reason, but I didn't want to actually dig in to find out I was right.

God, I hate it here... Earth, I mean. America specifically.

In 1964, Democrats passed the Civil Rights Act. A year later, they passed the Voting Rights Act. Up to that point, white people had swung back and forth between parties. In every single presidential election since—that's 15 of them—they have voted majority/plurality Republican.

Oh ffs. Those two things are not the same. White people are something like 70% of the voting population, AND <deep breath>

Provisions of trump's big ugly bill from Indivisible

If the House passes Trump's Big Ugly Bill, every community will feel cuts to basic needs—all so billionaires can get another giant tax cut.

Call your Republican representative today, or ask friends and family to call theirs.

YEP. I caught a few lowkey ones who were just commenting on other things and liking reels and such.

I'm not a detective, but I play one on social media. 😅

It's so good. Last time I made it with bougie cocoa, but honestly it's the best with just Hershey's. I also like that it's not a 9x13. We are two people. We don't need a 9x13.

A lot of women would marry their sons if they could because, I'm guessing, their husbands have always been extremely disappointing. They don't realize the circle of life is they have raised their sons to go disappoint some other woman.

They want to be able to associate with decent people. Nope. It's like, you can't sit here.

Absolutely. I had my first round of mass unfriending in 2016 as I saw people showing their asses. If they made a sus comment, or even were suspiciously quiet on some things, I turned into a profile detective and would either confront and unfriend or just unfriend, depending.

Honestly anyone complaining about Schumer right now can go fuck themselves. I don't love the guy, but Senate Democrats did an *incredible* job at taking out a whole host of indefensible parts of the Big Bullshit Bill, including attacks on trans people and the public land sell-off. They did great.

Just gonna drop this here. We make Wacky Cake fairly often. No butter, no eggs, no milk. It's so much better than it has any right to be. www.youtube.com/shorts/J-2hP...
