this at a time when European competition is going to become MORE important. This league format will become a more entrenched part of the football calendar, where the revenue will only fuel and accelerate the distance between haves and have nots. And our board chose to gamble with this new reality.

Scottish European coefficient in freefall. Rivalries aside, this is not a good look. It will take years to recover, with European qualification harder year on year. Clubs, SFPL and SFA need a long term strategy to turn this around. What chance?
