Dude. Christian conservatives (& Christian liberals!) using “Pharisees” as a shorthand for evil / hypocritical / tyrannical is “just how they talk” BECAUSE of antisemitism. Antisemitism was so embedded in Christian rhetoric for centuries that you all see it as “normal” religious language.
I promise that, no matter you want to say about people you dislike, you can just use an adjective that actually describes their negative behaviour instead of calling them a Pharisee. You are not a Catholic priest in the Middle Ages trying to incite an Easter pogrom.
Perhaps this will clarify matters for you? The New Testament does not depict the Pharisees as running newspapers in ancient Israel. The characteristics typically attributed to Pharisees by Christians are unrelated to whatever Hegseth is complaining the media is doing. He means Jewish.
