The “appalling scenes in Gaza” have been enabled by the arms, surveillance & diplomatic cover Keir Starmer’s Labour government have provided to a genocidal apartheid state.

He still refuses to call it a genocide because he is complicit in it.

Keir Starmer belongs in The Hague.

Utah study on trans youth care extremely inconvenient for politicians who ordered it The state's ban on gender-affirming pediatric care "cannot be justified" by science, a two-year review concluded.

It's so transparent what they're doing.

It says a lot about British politics that it is seen as completely unacceptable to discuss amending the triple lock on pensions rising - but the idea of cutting unemployment and disability benefits is roundly welcomed and even celebrated

I just asked ChatGPT who Judge Kevin Newsom was. It got his undergrad and law school alma maters wrong, along with his dates of graduation and those of his Supreme Court clerkship.

Americans Have One Very Strange Cognitive Bias Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love The People.

“In 2022, YouGov asked “What percentage of Americans do you think are ___?”

The results were hilarious.

Trans: 21%
Muslim: 27%
Jewish: 30%
Black: 41%
Live in NYC: 30%
Gay or lesbian: 30%

The errors are off by orders of magnitude. The trans estimation by 2,000%.”

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

I once ordered a taxi in Belfast for a night out. The driver pulls up to my house and just says "yer not going out like that. Go back in and change, I'll turn off the metre." | swear I was wearing normal jeans and a normal jacket.

I once wore a silver jacket to college, turned up late for class, said 'sorry I'm late', lecturer said, 'that's ok' then waited til I was halfway across the front of the full class before following up with 'trouble with the spaceship again was it?'.

was wearing my super-fashionable short trench coat. My friend took one look at me wearing the jacket and said,
"Where are we off to now. Columbo?"

I wore a suit with a matching tie and pocket square to my first day of work at an advertising company (I thought I was going to be in Mad Men I guess) and the staff sent around and signed a communion card for me with a fiver in it.

I wore a white, wool turtle-neck jumper to the match once and a fella in the pub said 'Where have you parked the U-boat?'.

Well said. This is the crucial point. “Slackers” will slack wherever they are but no one is arguing we shouldn’t have offices because some people don’t get anything done in them.

In my experience the anti-remote crowd tend to own commercial property or have invested in expensive office leases…

At this point there's really nothing new to say.

We've been doing this for years, it's aggressively clear. She's the world's most prominent transphobe. Engaging in Harry Potter as a franchise supports her. She has explicitly said that she views that support as approval of her views.

If you are a congressional legislator and your biggest concern about the U.S involves throwing a hissy fit about one specific transwoman rather than... the country for which you're supposed to serve, then I think you might want to reconsider your career choices.

• BlueSky user numbers have doubled in the past week and now total 3.5 million across US & UK 🚀

• Number of people deleting their X/Twitter account remains way up

And the next chart is particularly notable...
