"To Be Hero X" is a must watch for anyone who loves animation! I'm also a big fan of how they are playing with narrative structure. It's like this non-euclidean nesting doll thing.

More than occasionally the show suffers from DBZ fight syndrome, but I still think it's worth checking out.

The "haunted game" is used here as a trope rather than a deeply thought out exploration of why this media would be hunted. It makes it cheesy, which in and of itself is not really an issue, but it feels like a missed opportunity.

But also I'm one of those weirdos who wants psychological everything.

Played the Forbidden Solitaire demo.

It presents an interesting frame for a plain but solid solitaire card game. But I'm left feeling that they really should just drop the whole "this game is haunted" shtick and just fully lean into the "homage to violent 90s adventure CD-ROM games" thing.

I did Open Studios yesterday and I was so happy at the number of undergrads who really loved the whole idea of videogames as installation art!
