It's portfolio day? I just updated the gallery sections of my website!
The 2D art gets less love because I work mostly for craftspeople, but I've been drawing since I was young, and it makes me happy.

A triangle-shaped turquoise and silver wirewrapped pendant, laid on old, dry piece of wood.
A blue, teardrop-shaped, turquoise and silver pendant, laid on an old piece of wood.
Someone requested turquoise, so I went on a special hunt for it this show. Turquoise does come from the southwest, but these are from China.
A copper wirewrap pendant displayed on a datura plant going to seed. The pendant is oblong, and has a labradorite as the focal point, secured with leaf motifs and swirls. There is a rough chalcedony rose at the top held in by prongs. At the bottom is a carnelian bead, surrounded by more leaf motifs.
My friend brought me the chalcedony rose at the top, so I made a piece to remind me of the passion I feel in the Sonoran desert, and the lessons it's taught me.
I did more things this season that frightened me than I have since I started traveling. Feeling that Datura energy, I suppose.
Is this like a prerequisite for running or something? Better be all about Isreal or you don't even get in the door?
It's been a very Datura season. Most of them have completed their cycles now, and I haven't seen any flowers since the heat started. Was a treat to see so many.
After working outside entertaining people this weekend in 100+ heat, I can understand why Arizona doesn't have daylight savings time. We don't need to save any daylight. There is more than enough daylight. Potentially lethal amounts of daylight. I would be nocturnal if I lived here full time.
It's more expensive than it used to be, and it used to have a more extensive menu. That being said, I love their hashbrowns more than anywhere else as a comfort food. I wouldn't call it good, but it's solid and cheapish for going out.
I posted this at a time where it's hard to remember what cold feels like (it's 100+F outside). But for the rest of y'all, and for the future.
I feel *so anxious* posting writing that I put real effort into, so here this is almost before spring, but I wrote a little thing about using Buddy Heaters to keep you warm. (I've used them for a few months almost every year as my exclusive heat source.)

A dark blue cloak with white and blue pinstripes laid on a table. A hand is holding down the tag in the garment, which is spotlighted and reads, "Greentree Weaving."
I started sewing for a company that weaves their own fabric in house. I have never been more excited for a job. I'm so thrilled to know that I can work a sewing machine with ease at this point, I want to wear everything I make. I love handmade, and am so happy it's become my life.
We have an interview with Tara Raghuveer, the director of the Tenant Union Federation, about this rent strike coming out Monday and frankly I've never seen this kind of organizing happening this fast anywhere outside of cities in the middle of straight up revolutions
Moreover, ICE must be destroyed
A black and white drawing of a snarling coyote head with the words "FCK ICE" in the lower right corner.
Steal this and do something good with it. I mean it.
The really insane thing about this is that the first typewriter I brought was a refurb of a model from the 50's, and I got it because I was concerned about computers all just dying, I guess.
Anyway, and then AI happened and now it's looking like there just might not be computers for a while.
In Arizona right now. Stay aware, friends.
A blooming datura trumpet partially hidden by leaves on the desert floor.
Lookit herrr!!!
So much datura's shown up around where I camp and it's an honor to exist among such a powerful beauty.
(I won't be consuming her, I'm not from here and I don't know her. Just appreciating.)
Omg I need to take a week break from non-art related posting. I've gotten too entrenched and comfortable. Logging off for a sec.
Miserable.
I'm never seeing it so this is my headcanon from now on, thanks.
A drawing pad with a snarling coyote portrait sketched on it in black ink.
I love love love hearing the coyotes at night! I know I have a romanticized opinion of them, but they calm me so much.
WIP- being topical. Looking through an ICE tracking page and realized I missed them while running errands by one change in decision yesterday and feeling all sorts of things.
Today’s assault and murder makes me even more angry at all the “don’t take the bait let’s turn the temperature down” rhetoric from state leaders. We can’t just let them murder people like this
A sketchbook laid open in a lap with a hand holding it open. On the left page is a colored pencil sketch of a rugged saguaro cactus with a number of bird holes in it. A small red-chested bird sits on top. On the right page are a few sketches of pendants with trees on them in purple. Dusty red dirt and a few spools of copper wire are seen in the background.
Got to my destination. Admiring the local flora and planning out some things to make over the coming weeks.
I was convinced I was going to focus on pen and ink forever six years ago, and now I'm obsessed with color. Excited to see what I can do.
A landscape painting of a waterfall. The falls are in the distance, glittering over rocks, with a small pool at their base. From that pool, a shallow creek runs towards the viewer, trailing off into the left corner. Trees shade the creek, framing the waterfall in the full sunshine in the distance. The entire scene is speckled with pink, white, and blue wildflowers.
Painted this to relieve news-related and travel anxiety. I'm honestly surprised I haven't painted a lot of landscapes yet. I'm in the desert now, might wanna get some fun desert-scapes going.
Booker confidently announcing demands for more training and body cameras for a ice. In a slick video
THREAD. Having just written a book about this and talked to a LOT of Democrats, I can assure you that neither Cory Booker nor the policing industry he’s advertising think that more money for ICE “training” and tech would address any problem that any person of good will has with what ICE is doing.
I feel for this guy! First time I doordashed the app crashed immediately after getting someone's food and I spent 20 minutes on customer service trying to figure out what I was supposed to do with some stranger's meal getting cold in my car. Feels like accidentally stealing and having no backup, lol
I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.
And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”
Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.
Hey! Fuck ICE and all the racist fucked up garbage that's going on rn! I just don't want to add to tbe clutter by vitue signaling when other people have already said better. (Though I have a thread I might want to pull next week.)
This is so fucking scary.

Pet portrait commission.
I worked from a number of photos for this one, but I tried specifically to get the look in his eyes that he got when he looked at his caretaker vs. another friend. It's always interesting for me to see how pets choose people, and how they express that choice.
A painting of a handsome black bunny looking at the viewer. The background is bright blue with lighter blue and white painterly hearts.
Patrick the bunny!
Pet portrait commission. I had so much fun finding ways to bring out this rabbit's beatiful coat.
