@footballcliches.bsky.social Can a player be "blatantly onside". Blatantly should be reserved for offside.

Mark Ashton ran from adversity, our football club must not Ipswich Town's chairman and CEO has a phrase he likes to use in difficult moments. This week, he created the mother of all difficult moments — and then disappeared. This is the story of what happened....

Well done.
Our North American chat labeled this as you walking up to Portman Road with your nads in a wheelbarrow, Buster style.
It can't be unseen but I don't make the rules.

"Sources close to the Championship club initially indicated that no official invitation had been extended to Mr Farage, who was in Ipswich for a rally later that day. However, Reform UK sources disputed this, insisting that club representatives had indeed invited him."

Will opposing, or any, views be allowed to be expressed or shown during the women's game Saturday?

On the other hand, I had a lovely chat with Stu and Ross before the game. The Kings are always interested in their subjects!!

There was a quick acknowledgement from Furlong, and Kieran had a few words, but the rest were stone faced blanks.
I wouldn't say after that first half performance that it was due to them being locked in.
I don't know if it was any different afterwards.

I noticed the difference between the Wrexham players walking into the ground (signing autographs, shaking hands, talking to them) vs Town players stepping off the bus stone faced, no eye contact no waves.

Apples to Apples, this week THREE years ago Ipswich drew 0-0 away to Bristol Rovers in League One.

Then back to back promotions allowed them to play at Villa Park last season. #ITFC

They have under soil heating, I would imagine that came with added drainage.

#9s not converting chances since Lee Grant left. I wonder what he's up to? Or maybe even Steve Pemberton at this point. 😂😂

Has the date for the Middlesboro match been confirmed by sky yet? Do we know if this game will be moved?

1977-78 FA Cup 4th round
2nd division Stoke City 2 vs (Northern League) Blythe Spartans 3

This could potentially be the largest gap upset.
The Northern League at that time appeared to be between step 5 and 9.

If Barbrook comes on as a sub does that negate a move as he would have played for two teams? Or does that apply to League only?

Fin Barbrook is back next week and covers the home grown slot if he isn't sent back out.

I loved how physical it was. Nice to see a good old dust up. And I'd take Greaves or Kipre in midfield. Both are solid defenders, good going forward, and love taking shots.

I'd like to see Kipré given a go at that position.
