I also took the standard interpretation. In reality, I was always thrown by the amount of crazy in the Bible (it helped support my shelf when I’d think about the amount of crazy in Mormonism). Moving past it, I have no thoughts on this one.

I never participated in temple prep. Heard about that after and felt I’d been short changed. Many years later, as bishop, I was organizing a temple prep class and when the manuals came to my house and I read through them, I realized temple prep wasn’t prep at all.

I admire the work you’ve put into your journey out. Such a profound observation by your therapist.
