Almost done with my newest book, Understanding Creativity through the Movies, a guide to creativity that uses case studies of movies to illustrate key points. It’s been a lot of fun!
Pleased to share a recent study from myself and @jamesckaufman.bsky.social. We used instructional prompts to guide participants through the creative problem-solving process. They improved solution creativity, and the effect was mediated by engagement.

This new pub (a rare solo one) is near and dear to me — it’s on #creativity and #meaning and #legacy. Reviewers (correctly) made me emphasize more hopeful possibilities. Title comes from my favorite play ever. Free to read for now!
