This! It's not complicated!
Did you try a regional office? That's how I got through to Warner.
Needed this today!
Here in Virginia, Governor Youngkin will probably try to name streets after our J6 rioters in an effort to finish 7th in the 2028 Iowa Caucus instead of 8th. 🤦
It's almost as if they included a free subscription to Hooked On Phonics with all of the January 6th pardons.
Listen to the laughter. These people are so happy they don't have to hide anymore. Shine a light on them all.
The internet remains undefeated.
Finally got through to the DC office and politely unloaded on a very friendly staffer. I only did so to make sure I was clear. This country is facing an existential crisis and my senator needs to wake TF up. Most of them with a D next to their name do.
But not as unacceptable as voting to confirm Kristi Noem. 🤦
Update: I have repeatedly called Senator Kaine's DC office as well as his regional offices in Abingdon, Fredericksburg, Manassas, Richmond, Roanoke and Virginia Beach and I can't get a human to answer the phone at any of his seven offices.
As a constituent, that is unacceptable.

Gorgeous!
I'm lucky to have this right down the street!
Long shadows from late afternoon winter sun across a snowy path next to Bull Run in Manassas Battlefield National Park.
I've been trying to get outside as much as I can to save my sanity of late.
Winter hiking is so beautiful. I love the long shadows against the white snow.
If someone ever develops an AI model that can remove the vapid music that accompanies 90% of all guided meditations I would pay whatever they asked and aggressively ignore the environmental impact.
I need less synthesizer sound baths with cascading flutes in my life. 😭
Excellent post
This is hilarious. But not as hilarious as the earnest replies.
Never change, internet. Never change.
This is an excellent list of things anyone can do. All of the small actions add up which is why it is so important to not give up. That's exactly what they want us to do.
(Thanks to @boiledjar.bsky.social for bringing it into my feed.)
The Inspectors General refuse to leave until the action is taken legally, which they do not believe it was, and neither do senators like Chuck Grassley. This is what not backing down looks like.

@cooleysp.bsky.social Cooley!
Some poor staffer in Kaine's office is going to be getting an earful from me on Monday. I obviously won't yell or curse at them because they are just doing a job and an important one. But they will be getting an earful. This is indefensible by my senator.

...but each small thing that brings peace really does add up, even if it doesn't feel like it for very long today.
So seek out some beauty today!
Seek out something beautiful today.
Look at a painting. Read a book. Listen to some music. Go for a hike. Play with a child. Pet a dog.
Lots of people are struggling right now because ::gestures broadly:: and there's a good chance that no one thing is going to fully hit reset for you...
