Geothermal, not household solar A previous article discusses the United Downs geothermal project. This asks why we shouldn't spend that money on more solar and wind, or more nuclear generation.

That's a billion pounds not being lost to the UK economy and gained by dubious nations.
That was just in March.
Think about it.

Another good #renewables week in the UK

The grid just keeps getting cleaner. Even year to date, mostly winter months, fossil fuels were only a little over a quarter of the supply.

I used to live near Clearwater FL. Sometimes I'd cycle there on a slow Sunday with a pot of coffee just to watch the antics. Hilarious.
Sometimes there was a car abandoned in the middle of it

I publicly advocate for 'green energy ', yet cast shade on #hydrogen especially regarding H2 cars & heating, both of which are demonstrably dumb ideas.

Now there is another reason to be extremely sceptical, H2 can accentuate #globalwarming. Here's why:

But there’s a problem the industry tends to gloss over:, one that scientists at MIT, Stanford and Oxford are losing sleep over: Hydrogen leaks. It leaks through steel pipelines. It escapes through seals that retain other gases without problem.

It's going down about 20% in the UK.
That will make is about 1.8 cents per mile vs. 19 cents per mile for an efficient gas car.

I'll take a tenth of the cost and spend the $2000 a year I don't send to Arab states on worthwhile, fun things.

This is the best performance I have ever seen on the #UK grid.
97% carbon free.
Just 2.5% gas use
82.2% #renewables (20% solar, 61% wind).
Just 5% imports, with over half that being subsequently expected.

New Outlook (NEW) is great. It truly combines the power of native development paired with the speed of web development.

And suddenly it's 4 years later, and (on the mac version) you still can't subscribe to an online calendar.

Or effectively manage multiple calendars, access secondary calendars, work offline, use folders fully, sync reliably, merge calendars.

Apart from that it's vaguely adequate.
