First sunrise I've caught in a long time. Had to put Paris in my rear view while we're off to sunnier days with more of Europe to see... May your days be filled with tiny moments that check off bucket lists you didn't even know you had.

Wow do I need this right now

I don't want to talk about politics. I don't want to see it, breathe it, live it, nothing. I just want to wander and not even think about how messed up this world is and that I have to one day leave my children in it without me. It is my saddest thought.

Breakfast (petit dejeuner) spread on room service table in front of french decor window at Hilton Paris Opera: omelettes, basket of pastries, fresh smoked salmon, bacon, a cappuccino, hot chocolates, apple juice, and orange juice plus condiments and yogurt.

I planned on waking in Paris on my birthday and having breakfast in bed. Instead, I hopped out of bed and hurried to tour Notre Dame. Then I ordered room service the next day and woke the kids up gently. It's okay to plan big, change your mind, live fast, and slow down, all within a 24 hour period.

Can I spend the rest of my birthdays in Paris? Ah, that would be nice. Not really wanting to come back to reality anytime soon.

How I'm celebrating this 50th spin around the sun. We've been traveling for 3 weeks, London, Agadir (Morocco), Salema (Portugal), and now Paris!

It's not hard to beat mine though.
