We’re calling on the government to act to Keep Britain Moving.
When Parliament returns next week, we’ll be pushing hard for our plan: a 10p cut in fuel duty, a £1 cap on bus fares, and lower rail fares.

A split-screen video call shows two people in conversation. On the left, an older man with grey hair and a beard sits in a chair, wearing a dark suit and holding a notebook, listening intently with an earpiece in. On the right, Kemi Badenoch sits in a chair wearing a navy blazer, speaking animatedly with her hands raised as she gestures. Subtitles at the bottom read: “A typical Liberal Democrat will be somebody who is good at fixing their church roof.”
Morning Conservatives ☀️
Trump has insulted our troops, undermined our country, and fuelled a damaging war in the Middle East.
Britain must invest in its own defence.
Liberal Democrats get things done. We don’t do division. We do potholes and police officers, church roofs and clean rivers.
We focus on the local issues that matter to you.
Vote Liberal Democrat on 7th May.
Trump is an international gangster whose illegal war has sent fuel costs through the roof.
We must take strong action to Keep Britain Moving.

Families and pensioners across Britain are already feeling the impact of Trump’s reckless Iran war.
We have a plan to support them, slashing fuel duty and cutting the cost of train and bus travel.
The King should not have to meet with a bully who threatens to wipe out civilisations and insults our country.

Bold text reads: “tell Starmer: CANCEL THE KING’S TRUMP VISIT,” with the word “CANCEL” highlighted in yellow. The Liberal Democrats logo appears at the bottom left, and a link reading “libdems.org.uk/cancelkingsvisit” is displayed at the bottom.
Donald Trump has threatened international law, insulted our troops and sent British people’s bills skyrocketing.
A State Visit is the highest honour our country can give. Rewarding Donald Trump right now would be a massive mistake.
Graphic titled “Our Plan to Keep Britain Moving” with the heading being “Cutting the Cost of Living.” It lists four measures: 1. Reducing fuel duty by 10p (saving 12p per litre) 2. Cutting bus fares to £1 per journey from £3. 3. Reducing rail fares by 10%, 4. Cutting VAT on public charging for electric vehicles. Background shows a man in a suit walking along a train platform.
We can’t afford to wait while Britain’s economy grinds to a halt.
The Lib Dems have a plan to cut the cost of living and keep Britain moving.
Calum Miller MP quote which reads: This ceasefire is welcome, but we have to ask how we got here and how we ensure the conflict does not resume. Three reckless regimes have brought the world to the brink. We cannot trust a Trump-led America. Keir Starmer needs to accept that and redouble work to strengthen our bonds with reliable allies in the EU and Commonwealth.
Whilst this ceasefire is welcome, we cannot trust a Trump-led America to ensure conflict does not resume.
Keir Starmer must now redouble his efforts to strengthen bonds with our EU and Commonwealth allies.
Quote from Ed Davey which reads: “This is a grave and era-defining moment for the world. Donald Trump is making wilder and increasingly concerning threats by the hour. “If Trump follows through with this, Keir Starmer must immediately recall Parliament. The Prime Minister must also withdraw US access to UK bases now. “MPs must be given a chance to hold the Government to account and prevent the UK from being complicit in war crimes and breaches of international law.”
If Trump follows through with his wilder and increasingly concerning threats, Keir Starmer must immediately recall Parliament.
The Prime Minister must also withdraw US access to UK bases now.
This is a grave and era-defining moment for the world.

Donald Trump is making wilder and increasingly concerning threats by the hour. “If Trump follows through and attacks civilian targets, Keir Starmer must immediately recall Parliament. The Prime Minister must also withdraw US access to UK bases now. “MPs must be given a chance to hold the Government to account and prevent the UK from being complicit in war crimes and breaches of international law.” ED DAVEY MP

Letter from Lib Dem MPs to Keir Starmer today calling on him to withdraw US access to UK air bases.
Liberal Democrat MPs have written to Keir Starmer today calling on him to withdraw US access to UK air bases. Donald Trump's latest shocking threats against Iran would amount to war crimes. The UK cannot be complicit.

We can't afford for the chancellor to stand back, watch people struggle and let Britain's economy grind to a halt.
Our plans would cut the cost of living and keep Britain moving.
Badenoch and Farage cheered on Trump's war that has send fuel costs soaring. Now they are trying to backpedal with weak plans that give no help today.
Our plans would bring down prices at the pump by 12p per litre.

Trump’s war - backed by Badenoch and Farage - is already hurting people's pockets. We must act now.
Our plan to Keep Britain Moving would cap bus journeys at £1, wherever you need to go.
Graphic styled like a fuel price board with the headline “CUT FUEL DUTY – Keep Britain Moving.” It compares fuel prices under different parties. “NOW” shows petrol at 153.7p and diesel at 184.2p. “Liberal Democrats” shows lower prices: petrol at 142.7p and diesel at 172.2p. “LAB”, “CON”, and “REF” all show the same as current prices (petrol 153.7p, diesel 184.2p).
Rachel Reeves has a choice. She can stand up for those people and act now. Or she can stand back and watch them struggle.
Our plan would bring down prices at the pump by 12p per litre and keep Britain moving.
A pink graphic with faint cancer ribbon patterns titled “Our National Cancer Action Plan.” It lists four commitments: guarantee treatment for all within 62 days of referral 200 new, fully staffed radiotherapy machines and radiotherapy centres 3,000 more cancer nurses; and a Cancer Fellowship scheme to attract US scientists whose research funding has been defunded by Trump.
We have a plan to make the UK a world-leader in Cancer research and treatment. ⬇️
The government's inaction risks condemning the country to six months of uncertainty.
People's bills are rising now. It's time to act now.
