They're all spirits so I was actually thinking the other way where he's normally green but appears more "human" for human performances 🤣 but thinking about it he could be green whenever he just feels like it

It sounds misogynistic even to say that games need to be portray women in a rigid way, are we saying we have to write women the way men do so everyone knows it's a woman???
Because again not every story centers a woman's problems but that doesn't make them less of a woman's story
as stories told by women from a fem perspective? absolutely not and it's reductive to assume that only certain types of stories explicitly about women's issues count as otome. it's like if my game with a black mc, because it's not about racism, suddenly doesn't count as black rep.
it's not relevant at all? running a cafe or a convenience store, solving a murder mystery, going to a college etc. many indie games with pronoun selectors even have a female sprite, still allow pronouns, but their stories don't feature women-specific issues like misogyny. does that make them invalid
1. it's a major generalization to assume that "most" games that allow pronoun selection give a neutral viewpoint, given the femgaze angle. 2. olympia soiree is just one example (and a mainstream otome one) where being a woman is important to the story but there are far more stories where

and yet people have not been able to give any concrete examples of scenarios where a "female perspective" wasn't possible because of pronoun selection? this is a flimsy excuse considering most indie otome games are written by female devs with the female gaze in mind
