If you're in town for PAX East, be sure to stop by Boston Gamedev Week! It's a developer-focused mini-con before PAX as well as some events and meetups in the evenings. @bostongamedev.bsky.social gamedev.boston

A week late here but THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Global Game Jam site last-last week!
We had a fun mix of pros, amateurs, and new folks, and ended up with a set of mostly-playable games, so that's a win in our book :)
And another huge thank you to @unity.com for making it possible!!
Boston Game Dev will be hosting a Global Game Jam site again this year! We'll be at the Nonprofit Center downtown all weekend, 1/30 - 2/1. Come make a game with us!

Huge thank you to our sponsor @unity.com for making this possible!
I saw this live and it was *awesome*. youtu.be/JqL_oZ9SG7Q
@scottdoxey.com is a great presenter.
Nice! I've actually been thinking of other ways I can use it as well beyond my existing plugin. I'm interested to hear what you end up working on!
If they post the workshops from #GodotCon Boston, I highly recommend watching them. I went to the multiplayer one by @travh98.bsky.social, and the GDExtension by @scottdoxey.com. They were both incredibly informative and I'll even be demonstrating some GDExtension stuff in a video series coming up!
After also dealing with this obnoxious pop-up for ages, I think I finally found a (dumb) solution.
1. Turn on reactions from the pop-up
2. Turn off reactions from the pop-up
3. Restart
4. Test with the video settings panel in Zoom
5. Question why this works at all
Same. I've been using both a bash script and a cmake file for my recent projects. The bash script for when I want to get work done, and the cmake for when I'm finished.
Every time I open the cmake file I worry I'm going to break something and have no idea how to fix it.
It’s that time of year again! BostonFIG is only a few days away, PAX East tickets are on sale, and the Global Game Jam is only two-ish months away! And for the first time ever, the Boston Game Dev group will be hosting our very own Global Game Jam site in Cambridge, MA.
My Spotify Wrapped for 2024 with top artists Justice, deadmau5, Metro Boomin, SLSMusic, and Kx5.
It's that time of year again. And again, I listened to songs on loop over and over and over again.
